Need Help On Kit - Click HERE for Original Thread

90teg
So I went to a couple places and it’s just too much for me.
So I went on and started some of the work.
I got my bumper off and the new kit on (just laying on the car).
There are some spaces under the lights. Not too big.
How do I make it closer to the lights? My mom’s friend might hook up a deal to get it on and stuff. here are some pics of my progress.

Is the kit for a 95-96, or 97-99?
Cause that might be your headlight problem, since they are different in those years. Hope that solves something.:dunno:

90teg
no man. its for a 97-99 eclipse. but i have the 97-99 angle eyes.

You wont be able to get rid of the gap under the headlights unless you either add on layers like mentioned above or put a few small self tapping screws into the headlights from underneath(not a preferred method). Welcome to the world of bodykits!

so why is it like 300 $ to take my bumper off and put the other one on. and they said if it doesnt match up wich it wont, then its 75 $ an hour.

because it costs money to keep a shop open, lights on, pay mechanics, etc ...

you thoughtthey were gonna do it for free?

90teg
no but they said it would prob add up to 800 $$$ ?

SilverNeonRacer
Ya.. my front was $400 above putting a stocker on.. on the labour side anyhow..

90teg
well its not its 300 then labor

mwdguy
seriously ... i dont know why you think it would be cheap.

people pay thousands of dollars for body work on their cars, They more than likely have to prep your piece before they can paint it.

90teg
ya thats true. it needs to be prepd. but im saying they might have to work with it to fit it better. how do they do that

mwdguy
dunno, i leabe body work to profesionals

If you go to transform, one way with simple kits i believe they do is, they cut your OEM bumper in half and your kit one in half, and they mold it together so it can fit properly:bthumbup:

That is a bit more than what you are looking at tho,i believe, but you get what you pay for.

Err.. that sure wouldn't work with my Evo bumper... as the evo sticks out 3" farther than stock...
