Thats what I was thinking.. Thats the lower rad support their sitting on.. on a neon.. thats completely non-structual. My neon and I'm, pretty sure first gens too on the air dam say no jack there.
And there's nother issue I just spotted... |

It's not my car... I was browsing and saw that.. looks likle it was crashed into a curb cause the wheel was jammed into the rear of the well opening.
Naw the other thing I noticed was it's in for mechanical work, the hood is popped and the car is covered in filler dust and fiberglass dust. |

my car has some tie down points at this point... a lot of domestiports do (cars that have J as first Digit in VIN)
they are VERY strong peices on some cars as they are perfect line with the longer running peices of the frame...
If your doing heavy duty suspension work that might be the only place to hold the car and still have room to work.
But i can't comment if the neon has those points or not. |

| Well.. it would be on the very front edge of the frame if anything.... Chrysler does not recommend putting stands or jack there as under the frame is the rad support, which bends quite easy, tied down... maybe if you catch the top of the frame.. on jack stands.. no.... Jack stands are supposed to go basically under the drivers left foot there's a section of frame there and the rocker panel lip is the jack point. |

| the front peice is 100% structural on the 1st gens. What you see there is absolutley safe. There is no risk of damage there at all. I had my car like that for about 5 months....zero issues. |

Oh really? do second gens differ that much? cause I know if I did that on my neon the lower rad support would collapse |
