GT4 Accuracy - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hey I was wonderin if any of the times you would get in a drag/top speed that type of shit in GT4 would be realistic at all. I mean it supposed to be the "real driving simulator" so can any stats/specs from the game actually translate into real life?

Anonymoose
Not really.

Qoo
well, I read that they do a lot of research (stock car anyways) on cars they can get hands on. (with video and photo to proof)
they did test them on track.
but I seriously doubt any mods, upgrade will be ture reflect to real life.
and there is also a possibility that some manufacture will bribe to get their car have better performance.

sorry for the spelling. not a spelling bee material.

Yeah i was just meaning stock cars. Also, is the 400m a quarter mile? id hope not since my stock minolta does it in like mid 9's.

Anonymoose
400 meters = 1312.33596 feet
1/4 mile = 1320 feet

Close enough

Will the domestics have a chance this time or will they still have vipers and mustangs that cant be forced induction?

Well I was playin around with the 05 Mustang, tunned it to run just like mine car at 14.4. Then did a gear change from 2.73s to 3.73s and didnt change anything. It went worse to 15s where mine car did 14.2. so not really :dunno:

you have an 91 ????

Qoo
as I said it is stock car.
change gear ratio = mod.

and I think AT and MT differs too.
I dun think they will do both AT and MT on the same car.
so AT in GT4 is not AT in real life.

Really? wow that seems odd, how come a car with 900hp can only barely get into the 9's?. I even put the gear ratio really tight...weird:dunno:

Guess its not entirely "real" is it...

Because driver error is a huge factor when you're using buttons and not pedals. Even if you can get your rpms just where you want them, now you have to let the clutch out at the perfect rate, and hammer down the throttle at just the right time. And traction control sucks at the drag strip.
