| Does anyone know the basic rules or where I can get the laws for Custom/Unique (non-production) cars? |

| I would think that as long as it had all the basic safety equipment i.e. lights, horn , belts etc. it would be fine to be on the road....IMO insurance would be the problem. As far as where to get the info the transportation offices downtown should have some. |

one thing I dont get is you can get a ticket for an enlarged exhaust or colored marker lights.....etc. yet a street rod like a t-bucket can get registration and insurance and drive around wit huge rear rubber with no fenders, wide open engine compartment and thats fine.
How does that work? |

it's simple... you're young and up to no good...
the cops don't like you because you drive a "rice rocket"
they like old people because they are old....
that's what you want to hear, right? |

| Most of the require safety equipment was not mandated until the mid seventies. Most cars prior to about 1965 don't have seat belts. If the car wasn't equiped with them from the factory, no seat belt tickets. T-bucket cars are registered as 20's and 30's cars. Fenders weren't required nor was exhaust. You just need to understand the rules. |
