The Cadillac Sixteen's 32-valve V-16 concept engine displaces 13.6 liters and is mated to a four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. The engine features fuel-saving Displacement on Demand technology, debuting in 2004 on some 2005 GM models, which shuts down half of the cylinders during most driving conditions and automatically and seamlessly reactivates them for more demanding conditions, such as brisk acceleration or load hauling cylinders when the driver needs the engine's full power. The engine produces 1000 horsepower and 1000 lbs.-ft. of torque. |

It's funny, I've read several times that 12 cylinders was the practical limit for an internal combustion engine. I guess they were wrong.

| Don't forget the W16 that Bentley is coming out in a couple years. 8 liters, 4 turbos, 4 wheel drive and 1000 hp. |

| dont forget, caddy, lincoln, and several others had v16s back in the 30s, and aircraft engines have been 16 or 20 cylinder V types for a long long time. |

Thank you, the Veyron houses such a superior motor to that of the Caddi its not even funny.
Something about an accelleration of 0-300KM/H in LESS than 14 seconds turns me on! |

| Doesn't Bugatti have a V16 as well. 1001hp. Something like that. isn't it in productoin in Europe already? Hmmmmm |

those arent headlights, theyre highly polished air inlets on the intake manifold.
and yeah, the headers suck, talk about unequal length, but then again and equal length on that thing would have 3-4 foot long pipes, and need a ton of room for all the turns and twists. |

I don't think you need to worry about headers on that engine; 1000 hp is anough.
