i m sure everybuddy is doing a little bit of mecanic on his home time. You can tell on this topic what you have done on your car...instalation by your self...intake and so on...thats why i start this topic to know next time if someone needs help for something he can come back to this tread and ask his buddy who has done this...
there is planty of information site i know and many of you know but nothing better than someone you know who have done it..experience...and if someone has is mecanic course or welding body, paint ...let everybuddy know about it..you will be a great help for someone who need it.
i will come back with information about the base fees for the mecanic shop...later tomorow |

for myself i have done couple swap..h22 ,d15,16 , b18 , b16b..brake change disk or pad, suspension change,i have done some fiberglass and primer but never paint a car...and i won t try...turbo setup for h22.a little bit of electronic...
what i will like to learn : welding ( soon i know someone who will show me that..it s been 25 years he his doing it ) How to open a engine and rebuild it from scratch...couple other things to...who is next |

| my mechanics program at school taught me how to rebuild an engine from scratch and let me tell you, sometimes its just easier to buy a parts car and swap engines cause if you plan to get new gaskets, its gonna cost ALOT. and the bearings might not cost alot, but if you put even the smallest scratch in the camshaft or crankshaft or and rotating part(which is basically everything) then the engine would be toast pretty much minutes within start-up |

i rebuilt a 4,6 and 8 cylinder engine. the key to properly rebuilding just happens to be patience and organization. without either the engine is as good as gone |

i rebuilt 2 engines for him and helped you rebuild his v8 thing, he scrapped 2 cars before we even got a chance to put in the engines...funny how he scratched his own crankshaft and complained about it |

i know you finished the stupid v8, but did you even finish building the bonneville engine? cause i remember tanner putting it all together while you were busy doing whatever i was doing |

| ya i finished it. he put the heads back together. i built the low end and set the timing. |

| its better then working with christiaan, he insists he can do everything on his own so he ended up losing alot of parts. its funny he cant even do a brake job properly, if you trust him doing it, it would be your funeral. he didnt do it properly on any car before. |

and yes i can take a valve cover off and on, did it like 10 times that night :(
just didn't have a spare gasket on hand. i did however fix the leak though ;)
when i get my JDM cover i will buy a gasket kit and make sure no oil is in the plug holes.
only problem is honda quoted me 110 for the gasket kit. i almost punched the parts guy in the face when he told me that.
anyways sorry for the off topic, but i'd be wiling to lend a hand if someone needed help with something. i've also built a 6 and 8 cylider motor. did a little bit on a i4 too. |
