| i vote against lambo doors cause its no longer a trend setting mod. Maybe 3-4 years ago when fewer people had them. I would try and do something more unique but thats me. Either way dont look to bad. |

I like your stock taillights:D. Sorry but i hate custom tacky interiors, that huge wing, the bodykit is a bit too extreme for me. Well ya actually the paint is alright too... But don't listen to me its your car so enjoy it.

| the chop top is insane. I'd go suicide doors personally. you can just go out and buy a lambo door kit for cavaliers on ebay for $550. not really a 'custom' mod, or even that unique anymore. |

Show cars aren't really my thing but hey, I'm bored so here goes.
The chop top looks quite nicely done. The paint looks clean and tasteful. The kit isn't too over the top, but unless those cutouts are functional I'd toss them (or, not have tossed inthe first place... but anyway). The stereo looks like something a blind 6 year old could do (well, maybe exagerating a bit but, you get the idea). The interior looks a bit too uninviting for me. Clear coat is for exteriors.
And, is it just me, or is the front fashia mounted slightly askew? Looks like it's further back on the drivers side than the passenger, but could be an illusion without seeing the car.
And yeah, lambos are meant for lambos, leave them there. Suicide rears I think would go well with the chop top though in a sort of nod to the retro. (If of course, you had rear doors).
And of course, what sort of go is there to go with the show? |

nix the wing, keep it smooth.
shaved handles/emblems/etc, again smooth
suicide doors
stock hood, no vents (again, smoot)
other than that, it's an incredibly hot car.
edt: oh, and some smaller mirrors, maybe the APR ones, or motorcycle ones. |

here is a pic of the engine bay
I want to keep the spoiler because honestly I hate cavalier rear ends. They are too round without a spoiler. I wanted something different ss that's why I bought this one. Towards other spoilers out there, I thought it wasn't too big and bulky.
The vents on the hood are for the intake. (well only the drivers one) Intake sits right there behind it.
As for the stereo, I built that in 1 day for Powerrama. My car had been broken in in March and my stuff stolen. So I had no stereo. So that was what I could thuink of for a one day job. I know it looked shitty, but hey for a one day job?:dunno:
For the engine mods, there aren't too many. But still get a descent time at the track 15.603
AEM intake, RSM 62mm throttle body, bored intake manifold 62mm, Iridium plugs, MDS DIS-2 Ignition, and Vibrant exhaust. I was thinking of a turbo but dunno right now. Ohh and I am doing a front big brake kit 12.5" front and a rear 12"disc conversion (since cavy's come with gay rotors) also a new paint job to go with all the mods. |

The [/B]
Maybe a spoiler that flows off the back of the trunk would suit the lines of the car better. Something like the top fuel shoebox guys have. Something that flows off the back of the car to make it look low and long....going with the line of the red/white beltline. |

| LAMBOS ALL THE WAY>>. it will go good with the chopped roof. ALSO SLICK RIDE . thats what you call a show winner. looks like a lot of time and money into that beast. NICE WORK  |

| I'm just curious how you would go about changing the trunk into a hatch? |

| I personally don't like j-bodies, but your cavi, is one of the 2 nice ones i've ever seen. I love the interior w/ the clear coat, and the outside is perfect. lambo doors would look sweet, but other than that i wouldn't change anything...and for the stereo, thats pretty fuckin good for one days work. |

Alot of work... and structial bracing.
I could see it.. thicken up the rear pillars a touch... The biggest thing to over come would be finding a cross brace to replace the rear dash.
I know a guy who turned a first gen neon into a mini herse.

Changing the trunk to a hatch will be quite some work, but I got an older talon hatch and i might use that and graft that into my cavy, or use the stock rear glass. For using the stock rear glass I would have to drill two holes for hinges. Then make a fiberglass trunk lid. Well half of it cause from the red/white line on the trunk lid I am gonne cut it and weld the bottom half to the car. Maybe do a tail light conversion. But when I get the Fglass trunk lid, I am gonne attach it to the factory rear glass. Hey, if I can do a 5" chop work with factory front/sunroof/rear glass work, this shouldn't be too hard. All you see on my car I have done myself. So I am not worried too much.
I got a rear strut tower brace on the car which will help. But I am gone do some structural support there. The whole back of the car will we fiberglassed so you won't even see it. It will be a lot of work. But who said customizing a car is easy. I like trying out things that some would be impossible just for shits and giggles. Really all it is costing me is my time. The way I look at it, it is metal. You can do anything you want to it. :) weld it, cut it, bend it, gring it........ |

| I drive a 01 Tahoe as a daily driver, so the cav never really sees the road. |

| 2000z |
| Looks sweet as always Dave. I can't believe you're changing the paint though. Thats the best part. A hatch will look really cool. I think I told you already that the pro-stock spoiler would have been nicer but that one's not bad either. One of the nicest J-bodies around, bar none. |
|
|
| one_low_z24 |
2000z - I thought about the pro stock spoiler before I bought this one, but the back bottom of the spoiler dips down too low. It would of overlapped the white/candy red line. I could do it now since I am repainting it, but what would I do with this spoiler?
