1990 300zx Antenna - Click HERE for Original Thread

On my 1990 300zx the power antenna has finally given up the ghost. The nylon drive gears are stripped, so a replacement mast is not feasible.

The cost of an OEM motorized antenna unit is in excess of $450.00 so I was thinking of replacing the motorized antenna with a short fixed antenna. However, the ones that I have looked at either will not properly attach under the rear quarter panel or the antenna base is too thick to fit in the angled channel in the antenna base.

Has anyone out there successfully replaced the OEM antenna with a fixed one - what brand of aftermarket antenna will work in this location?

Thanks.

Hi, I have a complete antenna assembly that was removed from my z for sale. I shaved the hole for a cleaner look. It's in working condition. If your interested let me know. I live on the North side and if you wanted it installed we could get that done too. Just let me know. Thanks James.
