New Managment at Matrix Motorsports - Click HERE for Original Thread

Matrix World
I'm the new Manager of Matrix Motorsports and want to introduce myself. My name is Dallas, Im a sport compact enthusiast and was on the pioneering front of the scene in it's early days. In the late 80's Euro Auto Parts was where I worked and the place to go for your import car machining and parts. We autocrossed and road raced Old School Datsun Z cars, I have also built some pretty potent Datsun 510's that would suprise a lot of 5.0 Mustangs. Currently Im working on modifying my vq35de.

I want to make Matrix your choice, so would like to get your feedback on how you currently perceive Matrix Motorssports, and what you like, dislike, etc. We are currently preparing for our show booth at the Grand Prix and you may have seen the Matrix logo Atlantic race car at Dante's if you went to check out the Miss Grand Prix of Edmonton Pagent.

We welcome you to come by and visit us at the shop, I will also be at most of the Street legals, look for the guy running the mostly stock silver Altima. Cheers.

Welcome, the only bad experience with Matrix I had, was that I got over quoted for an SAFCII.

And for some reason each time, I am in there, the computers are slow or down...

i'd have to say theres some serious lack in inventory...when u go in the back and see like 5 or 6 cavalier and civic body kits all i can do is shake my head...and to mention not a single rim that would fit my car in the showroom...and theres some staff that i'm like..you work here why?

Prices seem to be pretty competitive as long as you do your research and know what prices you can get the part from other sources (as a check). I know most shops don't carry a huge inventory to cut down on overhead but I'm real concern is the wait time for parts ordered. I've experienced and heard of parts taking as much as 6 months to come in, that's just crazy...

BTW, is Milan still working there?

I was there once and had a body kit ordered. 4 months later no body kit so I cancelled the order. The price on the kit was the cheaper and cheaper than buying online as well. The guy I was dealing with seemed to very good and was customer service oriented for sure.

id also have to say that the pricing is a bit off. I usually shop at mopac when needed because they have a lot of inventory and most things i need. Im sorry to say it but i only call up matrix when mopac is out of stock on something. When i do call sometimes they have the same item in stock but it has always been more money. I always ask if you will price match mopac and you do without problems.

I do understand though that its hard to compete with such a big place as they get better discounts from suppliers do to the fact that they deal with much more volume.

you really need to deal more with other cars besides hondas and toyotas. I know the toyota is the mainly because you are in a toyota dealership but there are more then hondas and toyotas that are being tuned. I phoned one day to get a price on a tien and eibach coil over kit for my car. the guy said he would get right back to me, about three hours went by and I was angery so I phone them thinking hey they got busy no prob. So I get the guy back on the phone and what does he do starts looking up the parts then ad there. I'm thinking isn't this why I wanted you to phone me back so I didn't ruin up my cell phone bill. anyways He desides to tell me that they don't make the parts for my car. I called b/s and told him that. I found them online., and told him of a couple other places around town that said they could get them, but they don't make them for my car.

Basicly you what I'm trying to say is be differant from everyone else I could go to any auto store in edmonton and get honda parts. I deal with places like prodrag and fullblown because they deal with everycar. hell I personally watched blaine phone a dealer in the states( at his own cost in mid afternoon) to get a price on a part I was inquring about and josh got me my part and had I waiting in his shop two days after I ordered it.

i had no problems with these guys when i bought my cai from them last year. it was special order, the parts came within the specified time, and i got the cheapest price in the city at the time by 20 bucks. :)
