I've yet to see a complaint come from Transform Spoilers - why not give them a shot? |

Here is my thought with Transform Spoilers. I recently got my front bumper repainted, and it came out not as good as i expected. I took it there cos i heard good things with them here on the forum. The detailed finish is not so good at the lower part of the bumper air dam. The edges look rough. Poor taping or over sprayed? I dunno! It was missing 2 bolts and 2 screws when it was supposed to be ready for pick up. The door scratches now looked worst before when he promised to fix it to the point where it wasn't supposed to be noticeable.
Just so u all know. Somebody recommeded Van. He is a super nice guy, but the guy who worked on my car isn't nearly as good as pple recommend them here. So it reflects bad on them now.

| Try reg's autobody on the north end. Talk to James, he is Reg's son and he does custom stuff. They are resonably priced and do good work. |

The same time i got my bumper repainted, my brother in law was getting his new front bumper kit installed from a collison claim, i hope he has better luck with Transform Spoiler.
Last night i had to take the bumper off and fix the rough edges. How is that for a job paid and i had to end up fixing their *f/u* myself?
I hope they read this post and reimburse me something. |

| how about taking it back to them and raise your concerns. a reputable shop shouldn't have any problems addressing them and fixing them at no charge as i'm sure they would want the best image of their work driving around. |

So.. Transform Spoilers...
Do they sell kit's and shit too? or do they just do body work?! :dunno: |

Why didn't you go back there, show them the error, and have them fix it for you? |

I took the car back to them this AM. They admitted the errors and willing to fix it. The bumper would have to be repainted again since there was some uneven spray paint. Sucks for them cos they have to do it all over. Sucks for me since i m w/o my car for another 3 days.
btw, I have nothing against the shop or anyone. It's just frustrating since i 'd heard good recommendation and how much trust i 'd given them. This time I asked them to take as much time, I even offered more $ if they needed it.
For anyone who is reading this, i m not trashing them. As 303 said, a reputable shop should stand behind their work and it seems they do care when i address my concern with them. Bottom line is who wouldn't want good value work done right the first time?
So let's see how it turns out. Will keep posting later this week. |

| IMO I don't think they should have let it out the door. Ever since I took that autobody coarse you'd be surprized at what I can pick up at looking at a paint job, stuff most people would miss. If there was uneven paint then they should have pick that up right away, and did something about it. I have never had a problem with other shops when I have gotten things done, And the shops I have worked for would have never let the customer have there car back uneven paint. I saw a guy wet sanding and power polishing outside because there was a run in the clear he had to get out. |

Run's In clear coatings SUCK BALLS... :/
but meh.. I'm gonna give Transform spoilers a call and see if they can get the bumper I want.. and paint it to match my car...
Thanks for the help guys!!!   |

Here is an update:
I got my car back this am. First they told me they would repaint the whole bumper. Looks like they just did another clear coat in attempt to hide the uneven spray paint. ANd no...it's still not done right. On top of that, check this out, they didn't even connect the fog lights after putting the bumper back on. That's another lack of details they would have left me to deal with myself other than the previous missing clips and screws.
They promised to fix the paint scratches before i ever brought my car to them. Guess what? they were using 600 grits sandpaper to remove the scratches but burnt the paint down too deep that left me with 2 paint blemishes. So i asked what now? Well..he said, "you only paid me $20, the doors now have to be repainted". No it did not need to be repainted before they screwed up. Honestly it looks worst than ever before. He said he is not gonna repaint the door for me since they already lost $ on the bumper repair. WTF? isn't it what guarantee is all about?
Remember i mentioned earlier that i would have paid more $ if they needed more. I never rushed them on the job. They had my car for a total of 6 days on 2 trips. In the end, it was all lies, empty promises, poor service and lack of attention to details.
Now i m left with a damage cost of $600 to repaint both doors. It was quoted by an experienced shop - Kingston Toyota. I m tempting to get the front bumper redone. That's another $350.
So what do u guys think? I m very pissed now. I m not blowing horns and shits with extreme foul languages like i should have here cos obviously Transform Spoiler simply did a poor job. I m very disappointed. The service is shady. I was lied about the quality work and did not get any promises they said they would offer. The attention to details is absolutely nil. They damaged my car and left me stranded with another $1000 bill to fix their *f/u*. Their inexperience in body work is terrible.
I have never had any type of poorer services done elsewhere. This is simply a ripoff. I should seriously consider a law suit against them at a small claim court. If you want any body work done there? Think twice. Transform Spoiler will tranform ur car into a piece of crap. |

If you have spoken to the management there and they refuse to do anything about your problem then take them to small claims court. If the story is as you said, and you bring a ticketed bodyman in with you (or present a statement from him) it shouldn't be hard to win back your damages.
That - and the shop should have insurance against this sort of thing, which might make it easier to get some money back....
Every story has two sides though - so I'm going to hold off on passing judgement until I hear the other side.... |

so what you are saying is that is a company is fixing your drivers side and then scratchs your pass side they souldn't fix it because they aren't getting paid to fix it even though it is there fault. sam as the doors.
if he got a quote for $20 to fix the scratchs on the door and they fuck it up in the process and sand to deep it is there fault and the customer shouldn't have to pay more to fix there mess. as for teh bumper if they had paid attention the first time they would be fixing it the second time and they wouldn't have lost money. It isn't the customers concern if they make money. His only concern is he gets the job he was quoted for for the price they quoted, unless there was some things like then door fell apart because of rust and they had to get a new door, but they should phone you before such things so you don't get a huge bill with things they didn't tell you about. |
