Exhaust for Z32. - Click HERE for Original Thread

MixManMash
Hey guys,

I have been doing a lot of research on the various after-market exhausts for a Z32.

I want to try to maintain the stock look. So I have narrowed my choices down to the following:

1. B&B
2. Borla.

Does anybody have these exhausts on a Z32 TT? I just want to hear it and see what it sounds like.

I know that the Labree does maintain the stock look, but I heard some audio clips and I don't seem to like it. Sounds too farty for me. :)

Don't mean to diss all of you who like that sound, but it just isn't for me.

Thanks.

Inzane
We have three members with the B&B:
Myself, Gord, and Mike (from Red Deer) all have the B&B on our 300ZXTTs.

I know of at least one with the Borla:
Richard (screenname "Edmrx7" on this forum) has the Borla on his 300ZXTT.

The B&B is one of the louder systems available and the Borla is one of the quieter ones, so it depends what you want.

I can say for sure that INZANE's exhaust note is AMAZING, i would for sure recomend it but have not heard borla's

I like my Borla... It is a good quality exhaust, that seems to flow good, and doesn't make too much noise. It does have a deep "rumble" that still sets off car alarms in parking lots, but it's nothing that cops notice.

I sometimes think the muffler tips are 1-2 inches too long, they seem to stick out a bit to far... but that's just individual taste.

Richard.

ps. the "AB Flug" exhaust on our widebody JDM 300zx TT is a real nice exhaust as well. I think it's 3", stainless steel. It seems to be high quality as well. We bring that car out to UC sometimes, if you want to see it, we should hook up.

MixManMash
Hmm... Sounds like I might be going for the Borla.

But I would be intertested in hearing the AB Flug. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a place where you can buy the AB Flug for 300ZX TT.

edmrx7
No, probably not. It's a brand that's from Japan, we'd have to get one brought in for you.

Richard.

MixManMash
Sounds interesting. Where and when would be a good time to meet up to hear the AB flug on the 300ZX?

edmrx7
hmm, you could give Conroy a call at (780) 993-3658, he's got the car right now, or maybe at United Cycle on Friday...

MixManMash
Sounds good. If I am in town on Friday, I'll come down.

Inzane
Just in case you're still interested in the Borla exhaust, when I was at Apex Modified today I noticed they had a Borla catalog at their front counter.

Apex and the Z Club have very good relations so I'd highly recommend them as a shop to go to if you're still looking at a Borla.

edmrx7
It looks like we won't be able to bring the 300zxTT down to UC on friday. It's going into a car show at the Champ Car races from thursday night till sunday.

Sorry about that, maybe the following week.

Richard.

No problem - just let me know where and when.

Inzane - thanks for the info. I will definetely talk to them when I am ready.
