djshortys
damn, i like it

ManHunter
It doesn't turn me on very much, unfortunately.

MH

mrprecidia
mini mini van  (no offence intended just my opinion)

uncle ben
Sorry, should have been more clear. What do you guys think about the 16" rota slipstream wheels, on a silver SIR? I'm thinking about getting a set, but want opinions. Thanks.

p.s. my minivan kicks ass!

Kato
I want a pair of Slipstreams for myself. So yeah, I like em, they look good on just about anything Honda.

From what I hear, Rotas are a good wheel. Cheap, Light weight and stylish

Go for a pair and let me know how they turn out. I'll be looking to get a set for myself in the future.

Kato

Nightstalker
I think I would like it more if I knew that it had a k20a2 in it.. Um for the rims.. add a chrome or brushed silver rim around the wheel and it would look hot IMO..

uncle ben
Also if anyone knows of another 16" wheel that's relatively lightweight ( i think these are 19lbs) in the $300 or less per wheel price range let me know. Thanks all. :)

Nightstalker
enkie makes a couple that are lights then that.. get spoon ones =)

KAOS41
The rims look sharp, I like em alot. :D

H22_TURBO
I think they would look better in white, just what i think!

Pro Drag
For those of you interested in Rota Wheels, I am a dealer and can offer aggressive pricing, even more so if you band together and order a few sets at a time.

BKS8
sorry don't like it.

slurpeeboy
i love the civic... and the rims too... :) damn i want the sir so bad.. :(

uncle ben
How about the same rims, but in gunmeatal, or silver?

Apologies for the photochop pic, It's all i had!

gun meatal

silver

H22_TURBO
Silver, would look better!

ClubEL (AzNBonD)
i'd have to say silver

possibly gunmetal... but it still might be a tad too dark

cua0
nice wheels. i just think its retarded to spend so much money on black wheels. why buy something that when you're driving or even parked at first glance looks identical to steelies w/o hubcaps..
might as well just stick to the steelies if you ask me, they're lighter..

Terremoto
in another forum i said i liked the gun metal but I'm not feelin them anymore.
I'd go with the gunmetal rotas. I believe that they are darker in colour than the photoshopped ones. but I know that you won't value my opinion too much because I have the exact same car as you. ;)

Whitehatchback
I like the rims in gunmetal

uncle ben
Ah, i've gotten pretty rotten opinions on the black wheels all around, from friends and family. So black is out. My buddy might get me a deal on some OZ superlagers (I cant remember how to spell it) So i might just go that rout. 16" or 17"s (depends on price) Anybody own a set, or know where to get some for cheap? Thanks :)

Terremoto
OZ Supraleggras. Good choice

98Luder
Dude, 16's@19lbs is pretty heavy.

I think the Rota 16's are about 14~15lbs
the 15's i know for sure are 11.8lbs.

I've seen 2 sets of superlegarras around, on a black S2000(greywheels), and the WRX wagon with the gold ones.

RX_AGENT
 for the black slips. It's sad that edmonton has no appriciation for JDM style cars yet, but I assure you, that in a year or two your SIR will be one of the hottest cars around if you go with the black slips(and carbon fibre hood to follow). The first pic that is posted in this forum is so clean, I'd go with that if I were you but that's just me. for the OZ superlegarras.

uncle ben
[QUOTE] Dude, 16's@19lbs is pretty heavy. [QUOTE]

Yeah, thanks for the info, i thought they were lighter than that. Damn people, they make my head hurt. I think i'm just going to have to go with what "I" like and quit being told what to like. I was set on getting the rota's but after all the bad feedback i started to get worried, but now with the positive responses i think I'm just going to do what i want. Plus, with the rota's, average theives wont see my car as a target and leave it alone. And seeing as the supraleggras are 400 a wheel, and the rota's are almost half that, the choice is getting easier and easier.

[QUOTE] OZ Supraleggras. Good choice [QUOTE]

Hey Terremoto, what wheels are you getting for your car?

P.S. 98Luder, you still have the BEST PRICE on rota's i've seen, noone wants to come close to your price. They talk the talk, but when prices come up, they tuck their tail between their legs and try to backstep. Just want to say that If i do go rota, i'll be going through you. Good job on keeping cost low for us.
and as for the posers (you know who you are)

uncle ben
Just thought i'd throw these out there too. My friend says he can hook me up with a set for cheap. 17" 17lbs (not bad for around $250 a wheel)

RX_AGENT
Are those enkei RPO1s? Not bad, but if you have a silver EP3, I still think the black Rotas look sharp!

ChromeDragon
It looks like a cartoon!

uncle ben
[QUOTE] It looks like a cartoon! [QUOTE]

????WTF?????

uncle ben
Here's a chop of the enki's on a silver EP

the chop

Also, what do you guys think of the rear spoiler and clare sidemarkers? Thanks again for all the input.

RX_AGENT
I like the spoiler, don't like the clear sidemarkers, I think it's cleaner stock.
Here's a clean EBP EP3

RX_AGENT
If I would have waited and gotten a white SIR instead of my Prelude, this is what I would do, minus the white type-R rims, replaced with black Slipstream, or even better spoon SW388s.

uncle ben
Nice, but yeah, i think i'm leaning towards the black slipstreams anyways. Just hope tha die hard spoon people dont label me a poser and stone me to death in the street.

Terremoto
uncle ben, i'm not getting any rims. this car is staying stock, unless i come across a whole lotta money. but I'll be glad to help spend yours! :D

uncle ben

[QUOTE]

Stock! That's a swearword where i come from.

He he, no but seriously, how come you dont want to mod your car? Just a l'ill bit? And as for helping me spend my money, hell nah, i've got a bunch of other expensive hobbies that roll me monthly for my hard earned loot. I'm modding my car just a bit, mostly in ways that can be reversed, and don't void my warrenty. And if moneys an issue, you can always become a man whore :D Although my two hard years of street walking have only netted me a set of LED washer squirters. :D How about this. You buy a sweet aftermarket shift knob, and i'll make you a CTR lower shift boot ring, for free! All i did was take the ring off my CTR boot , make a mould and made it out of acrylic. I'm sending one to a guy on EPhatch, he's gonna spray it silver and post some pics of it when it's done. Later

Kato
I wish I were made of money. I got the quote for 15" Rota slipstreams and Circuit 8's from Pearlywhite. Very tempting if I weren't getting my engine swapped out this year. Gotta save up evey penny I can. Stupid rent, insurance, car payments and general debt. Oh well, dem da breaks o' life....just thinking, maybe I could buy one wheel at a time....hehe

Kato

ChromeDragon
Yeah, a cartoon. It looks almost too smooth, too exaggerated. Like the new Dodge trucks with the 20's in a shortbox/reg cab style. With the huge grill and the big wheels they look like the cartoons you see on shirts all the time with massive rims and grills. That was just my first impression.

I suggest getting better light for photos first off, you can hardly see the wheels, second, some nice shiny stainless rotors and calipers so that it sets the wheel off a little more. It does look kinda cool though.

Chromey

chowder
hehe. You guys have a die hard spoon guy in the civic club in me. hehe. I think it would look good.

Have you decided when your gonna put that sway bar in yet? If not, wait a few months. You can join the RSX guys when we put in our sway bar. I'm selling mine stock sway bar to Wally. I have all the instructions and the numbers to do everything.

uncle ben
Yeah, my bars not installed yet, i'll totally wait for you guys to do it. I also have ALLOT of tools that i can bring "my dad's a retired mechanic" So if you guys want me to bring air tools, or touque wrenches, just tell me and i'll bring what i can.

As for the wheels, I'd love to buy the spoons, but they're just too much money. Plus every JDM fanatic would follow me home and try to jack my tires on a regular basis. "Hey are those spoons? .......lets follow him" :D

uncle ben
How about these?

uncle ben
or These?

Gunmeatal ?

ClubEL (AzNBonD)
get some gold/bronze colored rims man

uncle ben
I'm not feeling the gold/bronze colour on my silver car. That's just me.

Terremoto
uncle ben,

yeah keeping the car stock sucks, but I'm not really interested in spending more money on it than I already have. I can't even justify spending $50 to $100 for minor cosmetic things. I'd rather use that money to pay down the loan or save towards a nice trip. (I'm going to Peru in April) . But yeah, I wish I had some spare cash for some rims.
I guess I will have to live vicariously through you. Do me proud!
:D
