| Well, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is now off store shelves because of the newly obtained rating of "AO" or "Adults Only" by the ESRB. How do you guys feel about this. I'm really mad because I hadn't bought it yet. I work at a consumer electronic dealer and I was waiting for my staff discount but it's too late now. :mad: Anyways, did you guys know about the "Hot Coffee" mod? And do you think its THAT big of a deal? :dunno: |

Well it was bound to happen eventually, just a matter of what game and when. Game makers are continually pushing the limits of what's acceptable.
The question then becomes, where do the ADULTS have to go to buy this game now? (assuming the 18-35 age group is still a significant part of the video game market) |

So even if you are an adult you can't buy that game anymore? That's stupid.
I haven't played the game yet but I want to get it for PC. What is the "Hot Coffee" mod do that makes the game some bad for people to play. |

| The only store shelves that I heard pulled the game were Walmart's. EB and stuff still carry the game no problem. |

I have San Andreas for PS2, I bought it a week after it came out last fall, but I've only played it for a half hour. I just got really busy with other things and was sick of GTA since I played Vice City so much.
It's in 100% mint condition, so if you want it I have it:bthumbup: |

Like Louis said, it unlocks the interactive sexual encounters with youre girlfriends, which was disabled during the release, oddly enough. |

I wish the fucking government would stay the fuck outa industries they don’t understand, rockstar games, and take two disabled the mini game because they thought it was a lil to risqué. this guy that made the mod told everyone what it did and how it did it.
Then Hilary Clinton got her nose in to this topic because she got told what 'hot coffee' does by angry parents whose kids shouldn’t even be playing this game. Then Ms. Clinton got supporters who like to bitch about game violence and nudity, then her bunch of marry men started a smear campaign against rockstar north and take two interactive. This campaign included law suits and protests. the funny thing in this situation, Hilary didn’t bitch about the excessive violence, no she just focused on the nudity, correct me if im wrong but is seeing a womans breast anyworse then seeing an arm blown off or better yet and head shot off with blood squirting out, and the excuse "its only cartoon blood." works both way cause its only cartoon pussy
So this whole fiasco caused rockstar and take two to lose a bunch of money from lost sales and alot of parents will stop buying this game cause their of the mentality "yes I’ll let my kids kill ppl non-stop all night, but I won’t let them see nudity because that’s in moral." :mad:

i feel for the game developers and publishers but more so i feel for the ppl that are suppost to play and enjoy this great game.
sorry if this rant kinda goes off topic a bit, its all related in one way or another. and sorry for the poor grammer. :D |

it's fun to watch people freak out and try to buy like 4 copies cause they think it'll be rare.... it'll all blow over soon. |

There's a rumour going around that rockstar themselves started this whole thing, that the original modder recieved instructions anonymously...concievably from rockstar.
the publicity is unprecedented, and copies of GTA4? Yup they're going to sell much better than they woud have without the "hot coffee" publicity.
I don't think R* bargained on hilary's retarded crusade, and got more than tehy bargained for with the fines and AO rating that must be hurting them a little. |
