ok, so last weekend i got a couple tickets at once. heres the thing though:
1. on one of them, the officer forgot to write my name down!!
2. on the other, he only wrote part of my name instead of my full name
3. even though it was the same officer that wrote the two tickets, (same name and signature) the badge numbers are different!!!
so am i off on both tickets or what? |

| I could be wrong but since your full name isnt on it how can they prove you were driving? |

Sounds you will have to fight them, but the officer has no ground to stand on. I hope you enjoy your day(s) off work/school or something important.

| Dont' quote me on this but I think the officer has so many days to rewrite the tickets your court date will be before this time period is up! this happened to me once before so i just paid the ticket. Now a days it is worth it to fight any ticket in the past few years i have had all my tickets reduced in fines and demerits. Good Luck |

well I am not going to say that the tickets are void or not but when I was taught about ticket writing.....they always said to make sure that your tickets were COMPLETE and CORRECT !! If they are not complete and/or correct.........well lets say lots of people get off on technicallities like that everyday. I assume that this was in Edmonton...if so then go down to the Law Courts building (traffic ticket ection)....first right as you come in the 97th St doors.....and speak with a JP. He /she will then decide to quash the tickets or not.

| A friend got a ticket on a friday afternoon for speeding, and was greeted on Saturday morning by 2 officers at his front door to give him a new correct one. He remembers a 24hr grace period. |

bwahahaa...i got these tickets in calgary, so the officers sort of have a hard time delivering me a corrected ticket in the 24hour period.
well i guess the no name ticket is thrown out. but i still have another one for racing. i guess ill be needing legal help on that one :tear: |
