please fix your site i get a run time error every screen i open..............

If you are getting a 'run time error' and your IE or Netscape crashes, it might be that you have a bad installation of IE or Netscape.

i would suggest you update to the newest version, or re-install.

Please let me know if anyone else is having this problem, thanks.

Every page has "done, but with error's on page" at the bottom. This is the only site I frequent with this anomoly.

all good on my end

I had that problem on a lot of sites, especially this one. Update your version of IE, Netscape or whatever you use. It solved my run time errors.

I started getting runtime errors all of a sudden one day on this site and now I get it on almost every page.

Now here is the weird part. This only happens when I'm at work (I guess I should be working :P ) and not at home and both computers have Windows XP Pro with the latest updates for windows and IE. I even tried re-installing IE here at work, but I still always get it. Only for the past few weeks though.

Just for your info, in the reply screen where I am writing right now, if I put the mouse over any of the buttons above this box (the ones for bold, font, etc) I get the runtime error instantly.

It must be something on our end but I'm no computer expert and I have no idea. :(

BTW, this is the only site I have ever been on that has given me that error...

i have windows xp and i still get a runtime error on every page. Also when I try to use any of the code buttons I get a runtime error, and cant use them.

thats your computers problem man, not the boards.. sorry :(

I get the done with errors.. but its likely something to do with the way that the forum runs.. as long as it works for 99% of us its not a big deal..

I run XP with the newest vesion of internet exploiter and I get the done with errors message aswell

actually NS, it's ALWAYS the developers problem. It means one of his/her scripts is not working properly. If he/she doesn't care, great, but if he/she does want it to be compatible with anything but the singal setup he/she is working on, some testing is always required. At work here I have netscrape 4.97, 6.0, and 7.0 installed, as well as older versions of IE. And mac versions of both.

Tonnes of people could be seeing the page wrong, and you'd think they were just stupid.

Luckily, this error seems to be a functionality one, so other than not being able to do one action, I don't see there being too much of a problem. But seeing as how the error is generated on IE 5.0, and it still has like 70% of the browser share, it is something that should be looked at.

On another note, why is there a flash movie embeded in the top? Nothing but the top of the logo and a blue/grey bg. I don't get it?

For people in IE you probably are getting an error chekl the bottom left of your screen and you will see a message that says "Done, but errors on page".

The pop-up can be disabled in IE(5.5 anyway) by going to
Tools \ Internet Options \ Advanced under browing there is an option called
"Display a notification after every script error" click this off and you should be okay.

Some people must have it on , Some have it off...

Seems to be a problem with the "class='codebuttons'" stuff...

in case we wanted to promote stuff thru flash or such. We would only have to upload a new swf file. Saves time from changing the code on the various pages. The main/front page has it all as an image.

uhhhhh.... it's not like changing between an object file and image file is that difficult. especially since this is just a skinned forum.

as well... i get the error msg.. ONLY on this site. my IE is ALWAYS UP DAYYYY...

btw... if it makes a diff... i run winxp pro and all the updates are up dayyyy

drastik
PHP is nice because you can include a topbar. Meaning you'd only ever have to change that one file, and it would be included in all the others. (just a note for next time :) )

V8less pages use a lot of javascript to make your navigation easier, if you have a runtime error, it's most likely that your IE is having problems running the javascript. Best thing to do is to update or re-install IE. It may seem that it only happens on v8less, but any website that has dhtml or javascript will cause this problem.

As for the "Page loaded with Errors" message, it's been fixed now. If you do see more errors or bugs, please let us know and we'll get it fixed.

Thanks :)

excellent... all errors seem to be fixed
