Unfair treatment.. - Click HERE for Original Thread

I just thought i'd share an experience with you guys that i encountered 1 and a half ago. It was during winter and a friday night, me and a friend were going to a party with some other friends that knew the people that owned the house at which the party was being held in or around downtown edmonton(im from Spruce Grove) anyways we get there and everythings cool until a group of people show up and werent invited, anyways thats never good! so me and a friend are just sitting at a table in the kitchen and majority of people are in the living room, anyways we hear something break and one of the owners of the house gets upset and asks who did that, and before we know it theres a big fight going on so of course me and my friend stay in the kitchen, im not some stupid person who gets in fights so i like to avoid such situations, until we then hear a huge pop sound, which scare the hell outta me and my friend so we run out the back door thinking it was a gun shot, we then run to his car without our shoes(those being at the front of the house) we start to drive a block away and park, thinking once the police get there and stop this crazy situation we can go back and get our shoes and go home! so we start to drive back to the house but on the way we see a cop car so we decide to follow it back to the house but as we do another car blocks us off and makes us get out of the vehicle and search us and the car asking where the shovel was (later found out the windows of the house were broken by a shovel which was the poping noise) we said what are you talking about and they called the persons house and asked the owner if we fit the description and he said no it was a couple of
lebonese(not sure how to spell it) males, so we thought ok so we can go back and get our shoes? and the officer said yes, but as we pull up and go to the house people are looking at us funny so we kinda help clean up a bit and get our shoes and go home in my friends car(black 91 integra) later on that week we get a phone call requesting we go to the EMPS headquaters AS SUSPECTS!!WTF?! so the owner of the house is there and trys to blame the incident on us!!! fuckin prick! so we get interrogated by an officer being a stuck up fag and we get released after he said we were driving a suspicious vehicle and he thought we were some kind of drug dealers!! (YA righht!) so our other friends at the party were called and told the officer we had not done a thing so we finally got left alone after about a week of this shit and we never hear from them again, no "sorry guys" nothing!! after we had been wrongfully accused of some retards crime!which i believe i have seen this person who was either involved or just with the people who had done this crime in edmonton! this has been annoying me ever since that day and since have lost all respect for the EMPS! the police where i live are good guys and have never had a problem in all the years i have lived here, this was insane!cops in the city are dicks! sorry had to get that off my chest..

Hi muska59;

I empathize w/ everyone who has rec'd poor treatment from the police (all forces) & therefore hopefully I treat people more fairly when I deal w/ them. In this instance you have to realize the officer @ the HQs was investigating an incident as relayed to him by the home owners. Once he's able to rule you out he released you (maybe he could have used a little more tact though).

Please put yourself in the shoes of the officers that stopped you when you were leaving the residence - they're investigating a mischief complaint & seem to be checking everyone leaving the scene of the crime. I believe if this was your house & the same happened you would expect no less.

Just something to think about (please read the topic "Being A Police Officer").
