video

stock 350Z
intake on Maxima
intake, exhaust, pulley, PCM on GTP

uncle ben
If i was the driver of the 350z, i would lay behind the rear wheels and have a friend release the park brake.

dc2696
what the maxima beat the 350? :wtf:

mrprecidia
i did not expect that outcome.

WookeysRX7
hahaha that 350z got killed every time.hehe i couldn't believe that the maxima beat the 350z! :D

ChromeDragon
Obviously that 350z driver can't handle and therefore does not deserve that car, so he should give it to someone who would make better use of it, like me!

Cool... too bad for the Z, we all know its superior!

Does anyone know where that was shot... I have a video that was shot around edmonton or calgary or a challenger vs porsche and it has the same "letters" at the intro... thinking same editor?

am i correct in seeing the GTP kicking ass on both nissans?

i could swear the first view is out of the rear quarter windows in that pontiac, and i havent had a chance to watch the rest of the video.

yes u are correct. it beats them off the line from a stand still.. but from a rolling start it can only hang wiht them.

he's got quite a few mod's on his gtp.. depending on his pulley size, id say he is pushing over 300ft.lbs of torque probably (280 stock), judging from his mods he most liekly has a 3.4" pullye (3.8" = stock), might have a 3.25" wiht those mods, not to mention the aftermarket PCM (not sure which one he has).

SilverZ24
The stock pulley on the GTP is 3.8"? The pulley on my supercharger is only 2.8" and I have been trying to decide what size of pulley to have made, but I don't know how much more boost to expect from what size of pulley? :dunno:

BTW, that video is cool. B)

yea.. prob cuz of warrenty issues :). 3.4 " is pushing it already (GTX package i think). the trannys on the cars really suck ahah. It can barely handle the current power that goes thru it with the stock pulley.

that posche v.s challenger was BULLSHIT lol.. they said the porsche was like a what turbo.. or some shit? you can hear a porsche turbo even w/ a silencer... that was a plain jane '80's porsche 14 sec. 1/4 mile and the challenger was not 900 h.p blown or something like that.... They'd embellish.. that wasn't 900 h.p... I know what 900 h.p sounds like... that was 600 at the very most... 900 h.p would mean you'd need a wheelie bar at the back and he'd be pulling rubber in at least the first 3 gears and skating around.... B.S lol.... the challenger would beat the porsche for sure... but a plain jane '84 3.2L couldn't hold a candle to a 440 or even a 383 w/blower.... And if it is from Alberta... it's from the Red Deer or Lethbridge area.. a lot of money around there and a lot of muscle heads

To do a fair comparison, what transmissions did they have?
If the 350Z was a standard then it should've killed the maxima - end of story.
If the 350Z was auto, and the Maxima was standard, then the outcome we saw is somewhat understandable.

The reason why I asked if that vid was from around here was cause it looks like it. Same as with that challenger video. Frankly I think that Porsche looks a little newer like 90+ and it had the big whale tale, tell tale sign of the turbo unless it's a mock up; secondly I remember watching that challenger at budwiser race track at one of the street legal events, I shit you not that the front tires lifted from the ground... it's got a lot of power and I wouldn't doubt that it was 900, but only a dino will really tell!

My neighbor has one of the most insane Chevy Camaro's around I believe it's 69 in cherry red and it's supercharged and tuned beyond belief.... he rarely drives it though, I'll try and get some picks of his timeslips and car from last summer.... amazing! It would kill that challenger!

Yeah well.....good thing i never picked up the Z .... :D ....im seeing more and more of them....im including the Infiniti version too though...

I seen that Challenger at the street races in Calgary a couple of years ago and it could be idling along at like 50km, hit the gas and smoke the tires off till he let off. Most impressive street car ive ever seen. Seen it at the track too low 10/s high 9/s if I remmeber correctly

redbaron303
Ya she was pretty quick....
