| Why not just have just little mini-meets then have it grow from there? Thats what the civic club is doing. Just something out of the blue. Of course you can do what the RSX guys do, have me call everyone up when I have an idea. |

maybe this club needs a strong leader from another certain acura club camp to build a strong foundation on which other club members can build... :fingersx:

whatever works.... little or big meets... i mean everyone will be there to see everyone elses teg... if someone could set a meet up..even if it was a little one.. id be in to check it out...
i like the whole idea of it being out of the blue... i just think the whole bps on jasper thing is kinda played out... i was talking to someone who is affiliated with IMPORTFEST and they have meets in the summer of around 200-300 cars in T.O on a friday or saturday night... of course torontos population is much larger...but they do it up anyways...everyone lines up on a strip or downtown street and parks and talks.... no racing just pure enthusiasts.... |

| Alias81: how goes the ITR hunt? |
|

| Okay, I'm game. I'll certainly try to organize as many local people from the G2IC.com club as well. Let's do something soon, but maybe wait until the weather warms up a few degrees. |

| yeah definitely wait until it warms up. As of this moment my car is trapped under a huge blanket of ice. I hope its not a big ball of rust when the ice melts away. :fingersx: |

I'am an integra at heart. Just named differently over here in North America and HK. I will be badged Integra quite soon. Just require the weather to co-operate with me.
But I wouldn't mind giving you guys a hand with this new club. I don't want to join cuz I don't want to be a club whore. It just means I up'd Markis in the idea of club whore. 3 for me is enough. But good luck with any |

Yea man that is a smoking deal. I want one with under 80000km, and am probably going to spend around $24000.. But if i see a championship white 2001 with red recaro interior, i will spend whatever it costs..
There was a 97 CW Type R with about 80000km, for about $22000, but fool never has his cell phone on.
I might go take a trip to bc too look at another 97 CW Type R with 50000 for $24000, supposedly in excellent shape.
Well good luck on your hunt!! |

Hey there, I know I'm getting off-topic here.
Did you try out that s14? I guess since your looking for Type-R's now, it was very much too slow.
Good Luck with finding an R. |

Yea i looked in to getting a 240sx and just a bit too slow for my tastes. Im also looking to get something with fwd as i have to drive it in winter, and i know as soon as i get it the engine would be swapped out for a high hp sr20det motor.
looking to do auto x this year and looking to get a car that i have to do minimal mods on to get maximum performance..

| i say if the weather plays on our side....mid march early april...we set up a meet...just a small(im assuming small cause not everybody knows about v8less) edmonton meet...at a parking lot or what not...then maybe people driving by can spread the word and such...and we'll work from there....ill be more then glad to help out.... |

| CanadianR |
| Hey guys i forgot all about v8less over the winter, just remembered and registered myself tonight. I would be interested in joining up for a meet but it would have to be in the spring when the snow's gone (my baby's parked for the winter). Speaking of buying R's, i just bought mine this summer from Millwood's Honda. I wonder if i payed too much. It's a '97 that had 78k on it when i bought it. I payed $24,500 with taxes, it wasn't driven in the winter, is in really good shape, and it had the dealer option AC installed when originally purchased. It was also completely stock. What do you guys think, did i pay too much or was that fairly reasonable? |

wasn't a bad price..
wut are the compression and leakdown numbers?
how's the oil consumption? |
|
|
| CanadianR |
| i can't remember the compression numbers, they're on my vehicle inspection sheet, but i do remember that they were all almost the same value and were what they should have been.(around 180 seems to come to mind) Oil consumption is surprisingly high, I thought. It seems that i'm going through about 1.5-2 litres per oil change. No-one seems to be able to tell me how much is normal for a Type R. Acura states that anything less than 1 litre (i think) per 1000 k is acceptable, which seems rediculous to me. My friend has a '92 GSR and tells me he uses about the same amount of oil as i do, but i'm curious to know if this is typical consumption. |
