| why does it cost more to transport a vehicle to kelowna/kamploops than to edmonton or calgary? kelowna and kamloops are waaaaaaaaay closer. |

| Just go pick it up, Ive picked cars up from Annacis Island and driven them back to calgary like 4 times this year. Its definatly a fun time |

Because it is out of the way. To my knowledge, there is no equipment to remove vehicles from railcars in that area, so cars must be shipped by truck to Kelowna and Kamloops.
It's hard to imagine why you couldn't simply pay the same for a truck to Calgary, and just have them unload it in those cities instead of going all the way, but again it probably has to do with unloading. It might not be cost effective to take the time to unload in those cities, the stop could cause too great of a delay. (Just my speculation) |

Car hauler pulled right up to my door .. neighbours were in awe as it was loaded up with 3 very expensive Benz's thinking I'd won the lottery ...
Though they just left the Skyline behind. ;) |
