any one use DSS DJ 5.2 ? - Click HERE for Original Thread

hey guys just got the demo version .

iam trying to make a sound track for a car vid. i got a bunch of song and sounds i want to use. i can't figer out for the life of me how to cut one section out and mix it with another. any help will be great or more info on like programs

i've used DSS DJ 5, haven't seen 5.2. but hopefully this can help you:

1. use cue points to select the section of music you want, play that and set it to repeat and do your mix.
2. if cue points don't work, try using the loop function and resize that to fit the section of music you want.
3. you could just record that section of music into a new file
4. search for and download "mp3directcut" and cut the music (similar to 3 but i find it faster)

i'm only an amateur at using these kinds of programs so i hope this helps you, and good luck on your car vid.:thumbup:

thanks so far my main prob is i cna't get the cue points to work or the record function . oh well i will figer it out when i got time. :p

I have never used that program. I use Virtual DJ all the time and it works awesome with cues and loops. I love that program. Just saying this in case you wanted to try it out

Virtual DJ is a good program...but i think one of the better ones out there is Traktor DJ Studio :thumbup:
both are good...
