Complexity
I just had a few questions about them. Soryr if this is in the wrong section.

1) Where can I find one? I have been looking all over the net and the only one that I found was a twin turbo.

2) Cost. How much will the parts that I need cost? What is all needed for the turbo?

3) Install. How easy is it to install the turbo? About how long would you estimate it would take to put it all together?

Hi Complexity,

Check out www.mustangworld.com for more info on the Stangs and what people have done for modifications. Also check out www.mwspeedshop.com. They may have info inregards for turbochargers for your car. My friends is looking at installing a supercharger on his 01 GT. He has ordered alot of his stuff through them. Some experiences are better than others. There is also a Mustang Tuner shop in Calgary but the name eludes me at this time.

Hope this helps.

and there's a guy on svtoa who just got his single tubro kit delivered.

Complexity
Thanks for all the links guys! But my one question still remains. How long would you estimate install time if it was a home done job? Of course tuning would have to be left for the pros but i was really interested in strapping on the turbo by myself.

This is chickendreamer's install thread.

tokes
Keep in mind a 4.6 is way different from a 5.0. 5.0 is shorter, narrower, and about 10 times easier to work on than 4.6's. Most 4.6 turbo kits involve a K-member swap at the bare minimum to get the downpipe and headers/crossover to fit in there. On a scale of 1-10 i'd put a 4.6 mod turbo kit at 10++++, very advanced and lots of time and knowledge required.

As for cost you're looking at 6000 USD for a base kit, so probably in the 8500-9500 range once you're square on taxes, duty, and a tune.

www.hellionpowersystems.com

I personally like the PTK kit better, it's cheaper than the Hellion, and the Hellion uses your stock manifolds. The PTK kit is proven, and although Hellion has shown some nice numbers, they've all been SAE corrected numbers from New Mexico at 5000+ feet of elevation, which can severely skew the results when we're talking about a turbo car.

In laymans terms, think about something else for somebody who just turned 18.

Complexity
Thanks guys. Man, those prices are pretty high. And tokes is right, at my age I don't need something like that. It isn't my car that the turbo would be going on, I just wanted to check around and see what the scoop was. Thanks to everyone for the links and comments :)
