| when a JDM version of a car becomes 15 years old and is able to be imported into canada, would the USDM versions value go down? i was really debating on wether i should wait until 2008 to attempt to buy a supra, or hopefully save up enough money and get it by summer next year |

| Supra's will probably hold their value well in this market. There aren't TONS of them there or here and I see it staying more rare than others. |

| I highly doubt a Supra will go down in value when the 15 yr thing takes effect since they are quite rare here. People were hoping the same thing was going to happen with the NSX (1990 model) and of course it didn't happen. |

thats about it, manual tranny swaps for the mkIV are NOT cheap.. if I ever buy a mkIV its going to be a 6 speed TT, wouldn't consider anything else.

exactly, on SupraForums, they were doing a mkIV roll call for Canada, and they estimated to be about 50 of them country wide, which definitely qualifies them as rare in my books.
I still expect it will be cheaper to buy a mkIV from Japan when they become legal, since it would usually cost around $35000 to import a USDM one here currently, after all the taxes and fees. Highly doubt prices will go down however.

6-speed swaps aren't "that" expensive for mk4 supras, i've had the oppurtunity to pick up motor, wiring, 6-speed tranny, w/ all accesories for $4500.
if it would work easily on my car i would have bought it but the 2jz i want is from an aristo not a supra. |

| Aristo! Why wait until 2008, when you can get a 4-door Supra in 2006. And they are cheap. |

what made the NSX so special anyways? i dont find it that appealing. and practicality wise... well, it has none. its just a weekend car. then again the same COULD be said for the supra(which i plan to drive for about 5 months of the year).
if a girl ever made a move on you, how can you show her the back seat on an NSX anyways? |

i coudl buy that car right now and have it shipped to the caymans if i wanted it. just hsve to pay( i think) 25% import tax for the caymans. i would just let it sit in a safe spot as far inland as you can get lol till its legal here . but i dont like them so why buy it lol UNLESS i want it for resale
eegads brain i got a plan :D |

If your rolling in an NSX and your planning on picking up women, have a little class and take them to your house. You can always get road head on the way there.
I never understood the appeal of backseat sex except for a novel romp once or twice. |

I don't think a person who wants an NSX cares about girls making a move, they're more into the other gender.
Half of JDM NSX's are automatic too :dunno: |
