I guess mine would have to be:
1. Lancers - (OZ Rally and Ralliart) they're cheap, ugly, slow cars, but SOOO many of their owners seem to think they're an EVO. I can't count the number of times some tard has tried to race my wife in her WRX. My wife also had a discussion with an OZ Lancer owner (while he was waiting at Midas for his fart-cannon to be installed) about how he would never buy a WRX because his Lancer was a far better deal and had SOOO much more potential than her WRX.
2. Harleys - Mostly Yuppies and middle-aged empty nesters trying to recapture their lost youth and rebelliousness. I wouldn't mind them so much if they weren't so obnoxiously loud.
3. Just about any car with some kid driving it with his hat on sideways. Seems whatever most of these kids drive, they think and act like it's the shit. These cars are often decked out in shitty body kits, fart cannons, and huge wings, along with cool stickers. Sorry to those who wear their hats sideways and DON'T drive like complete asses:p
There's alot more on my mind, but that's the top three.
This Thread is about POSEUR cars, not if you like to wear your hat sideways or not and drive around like a moron... |

I don't know much about trucks at all but why was the Ridgeline a sad attempt:dunno: I heared nothing but good things about this truck. again I don't know anything about trucks and i have a friend that was looking to get one so thats why i ask.:)
as for me
1)I don't like the Hummers...because of what everyone else has already stated above.
2) all of the retro cars these days...some don't even look anything like the old cars for example the Chargers. |

I like the 99/00 Civic SiR coupe (not the hatchback that came later). It was a nice little car, and not far behind the Integra GS-R (another nice car).

The Titan and the Tundra are excellent trucks. I'm not sure what your problem with them is. :dunno: (But I have to admit I'm not a "truck guy" per se, so what do I know...) |

I have to disagree... maybe newer ones like the honda where only the front of the bed and the tail gate can carry any wieght.
I've owned a couple "Japanese trucks" They where badged Dodge, but where really Mitsubishi's. the 86 Ram D50 Sport rwd 2.6L 5spd hemi, wasn't the fastest thing, wasn't the best on fuel... but it was factory rated to Canadian specs as a 3/4 ton, and I actually put 900kg inthe bed, drove tot he dump wieghed in, unloaded and weighed out(hense how I know how much I had in it) It dropped the rear end of the truck 2" due to the wieght and was a little slower, but she handled it fine.
A friend had the 85 LE version of the above truck, he routinely hauled 200gallons of water and I dunno how much wieght it papers with out any problems.
My 83 Power Ram D50 5spd 4x4 turbo diesel... was also factory rated at 3/4 ton.. but I wouldn't wanna go over 600-700kg's in it, was a little work horse, drove through the ditch with over 2ft of snow in rwd no probs, dragged a late 70s full size chev station wagon sideways through a parking lot, then inline shoved it up a curb (it died and I was moving it to a spot with a plug in the winter) with no probs.
Soo please explain how Japanese trucks in general are posers.
The Mini trucks over here are posers I had a 4x4 2000 Dakota sport, great truck, couldn't handle wieght that good, hauled 200 gallons of water and the rear end dropped bad. |

| I just have to laugh everytime a thread is started about how good this car is or that car it turns into bashing the driver of that car. Yes I do drive a sunfire and no I don't think it's fast. Everytime a sunfire was mentioned it was followed by the drivers an idiot or something stupid. Or if some part of the car wasn't made in japan it must be shit. Everybody on here says that they love cars like to hang out with people that like cars too. Ya if it's not your car then it must be crap. But whatever I just drive a sunfire so I must not know anything.:thumbdown |

Iunoo, but i think that his 94 RX-7 stock for stock wuld be an interesting matchup. |

FD would take a TSi (both stock).
TSi's aren't *that* fast stock, but you can turn them into 13 second cars with half the money. |

i can testify to that... if its someone elses project, its probably been beaten down, bagged, and seen more action than war vet..
i too learned the hard way.. i now look for lady driven cars to make projects.. much more forgiving :) |

Aww, don't be mad because i singled out your post:dunno: I said the cars are usually accompanied with the usual assortment of poseur parts ie: shitty body kits, fartcannons etc. Was that not enough justification to be a poseur car? Or did you take offense because you're one of those sideways-hat-wearing people who drives like a moron? Or perhaps you drive a car like i described?:D |

Uhmmm travelling in the states........ I have seen Toyotas, Mitsus at 0%. Honda is the only one that comes to mind that does not run 0% in N.A.
But then again......... it does not mean that the financing is not built into the price. |

Okay so now yer making a generalization about people who wear thier hat sideways. Sayin that they have shitty body kits and fartcannons... I dont know... I've seen many of 'pocket gangsters' i like to call them.... driving integras... and looking like a bunch of homos that just walked out of the bathhouse... ya i seen plenty of them in integras.... theres a damn good possiblity that it was you. |

| I saw a good one today a 91 chev extended cab pickup... but the poser part is that if it had steelies, it would be worth $4000 max, but it had 22" wanksta spinners on it.. friggin thing was 2wd and with the 22"s was jacked up higher than most 4x4s |

my poser list:
1. "sport" minivans
2. beetles
3. cars that fart ( blowoff valve)
4. any car that would be normallydriven by an old person, but with shiny chromes that therefore make it acceptable to be driven by young single men loaded with single male friends, and no chicks in sight. I call these the sausage wagons .
5. "baby on board" cars
my 3 favs
3 - anything with four wheels that go fast
2 - Ferrari
1 - car driven by hot chicks that don't have attitide ( even beetles are okay if the chick is hot enough) |

What do you propose we do with that compressed air during shifts? Make it magically disappear? |

Don't vent to atmosphere. |

| You can still hear it when you recirculate cars that run lots of boost, and what if that's not an option anyway? |

:dunno: If anything, to me it indicates the potential of the car ACTUALLY having some balls. It may be a poser car in comparison to myhorse's V12 TT exotic though(don't know his specs but you get the drift) so maybe thats where he's coming from. |

Agreed.
For such a small car + small engine + diesel it gets pretty horrible gas mileage. For all that comprimise, it should get better than 60 MPG. |

Unless Myhorse has done some serious mods, I think it's still a flat 12 with no turbos (and no BOV)... I could be wrong... |
|
|
| myhorse |
yep.
With a flat 12 you don't need turbos or fart valves
only change was a capristo exhaust ( for better cooling n the track ) and the absence of catalytics
The TT is my audi
