| Try CLR if its very minor, there are other chemicals that are rust converters, or sand it off. |

Sand/grind it off completely.
Coat it with POR15 or Rust Bullet. |

I'd use really rough paper (40, 60 or 100) because:
- You want to get it all off
- You'll be covering it with POR 15/Rust Bullet after so any scratches will be covered.
Make sure you get it down to bare metal - that's the key. |
