Simoniz Pressure Washers - Click HERE for Original Thread

Are they any good? I bought a Simoniz orbital buffer once and I killed it before I finished polishing my front end. These washers only come with a 14-day warranty and even though they are cheaper in price than others, I don't want to waste a few hundred bucks on a piece. I'm looking at their 3-in-1 pressure washer station that comes with a mountable pressure washer, vacuum, and dryer.

The new gas powered ones are good.

The others always get returned - and if they break after 14 days good luck getting CT to deal with it.

I have a gas powered one.......... works well.

The pressure hose is so-so...... but I will replace the hose in the future with a flexible one.

I bought the red electric one from home depot last fall...it was $100 off and puts out 1500 psi. One year warrantee from manufacturer. cost $150 total end of season deal.

Cheap but it works OK. Next time I will get a gas one with 2500 + psi cause this one is just a little light for what I want to do with it.

There is nothing wrong with it but I will not buy a plastic/electric one again cause it is too cheep for me.

I've decided against it. I would rather put the $200 towards something with a real warranty and that will last. They are just as much of dumbasses for trying to sell crap that doesnt work and know people will just return it imho. Btw, I saw you a couple of weeks ago on 97st heading downtown, I was driving the red eclipse.

Ya going down to millwoods every weekday cuz of summer work.

CT can't control much of what they sell, if they sell their wax product they will try to sell the washers too, I guess its just how busniess work??

i work at ct parts dept. and they do get returned all the time. the gas ones are much better, and have a longer over the counter return policy but the electric ones are garbage. every once and awhile someone lucks out with a good one but not very often. the handles break, flips the breaker/etc. gas ones not so much though. and managers are good about returning them.

jdmguy
i agree with 2ndgenlude, i work at the parts counter in namao and for a while there when the simoniz ones were on sale i had to return one or two every day almost, but teh gas ones are pretty good, ive only had to return one in like the last 4 months, ne way 2ndgenlude which ct do you work at??

the company I work at just threw 2 of our Simoniz pressure washers out because they stopped working.

At home here we have a pressure washer purchased at a farm supply store w/ a 5hp Honda motor...it's good for 2800-3000psi..just really loud, all the neighbors hate it when I use it.

But, a couple years ago I was trying to strip paint off the garage door with it, and I ended up blowing a hole right through the door :dunno:

Too lazy to read all of that, but in crappy tire i saw a sign by customer service saying that simoniz pressure washers can't be returned at CT, you have to go staright through the dealer(something along those lines) that alone would turn me off from them

2ndgenlude
to answer your question i work at st.albert but usually shop at namao haha.
electric washers have i think a 14 day over the counter, then its all simoniz. dealing with them is a bitch too.

I saw the same type of sign at Rona Last nght for all gas & electric washers. Looks like they all are crap.

Haha....It will probably damage his paint, but that's about it.
