it'd depend how many ppl would be interested
a month ago i'd be able to host, but my basement doesn't have the room for computers anymore.
there are a couple gaming places where you can rent a room for a small fee and bring your computer.
as for games... i'm down for whatever
fps, rpg, strat, racing... etc
i think UT2003 is a pretty good choice if ppl are into fps. |

counter strike? never played UT, but there are a bunch of FPS, like return to castle wolfenstein and medal of honor.
how about scifi, like homeworld (great game) starcraft :| and the mechwarrior games?
im up for all kind of games, so we should see what we can set up for hosting. |

I'm just not into games like Civilization or Age Of Mythology or Warcraft III.

Haven't played Counter Strike in 2 years. :)
I'm a big fan of Return to Castle Wofenstein, but it's not a good game for lan p arties unles we are at least 16.

lan parties can be fun, but were going to need to make up a checklist that will be rigidly enforced.
nothing less fun than getting someplace and discovering you have no patch cable to go to the router, at 9:04 pm, just after everythings closed. |

hmm... i'll check on conference rooms and such.. cause on lanparty.com or sumfin' they show ppl renting a small conf. room at a hotel and just playing for 12 hours straight.
DOOM2????? CHRIST!! it doesn't even have mouse look.
RTCW is awesome for LAN party... especially in the village. such teamwork and WWII fun.
i would suggest some car racing games... but some might be sick of car this.. car that..

The hotel idea sounds Grrrreat!!
We would definately need a big place and you can count on me for the networking and such.
Make a date on a saturday or something in like a month.

| We had a member from DC5AB goto that event last year. I might go with him this year around. Maybe we can make it a big V8less event of sort. Kicking each other in games like Need For Speed, Rally Racing, Doom2 (Sorry Andy, had to toss that one in), Return To Castle Wolfenstein, Jedi Knight : Jedi Outcast, Warcraft 3, and list goes on and on. |
