What is the big difference between XP Professional and XP Home. Beside the fact one is for business and the other is for home use. Is one maybe a little more stable and work better or what?

Only real difference you're gonna see is XP Pro can join domains, XP home cannot.

Other than that they are the same.

XP home can not use multiple CPUS, so anything dual core will not work with XP home, XP pro on the other hand can use multiple CPUS. this website gives you a good explanation of home vs pro diffrences XP home vs PRO
