Were there ever a reason to shut off you cognative abilities, tell that deductive reasoning center in your brain to "git", let your jaw go slack and just be amazed at the idiocy of this movie.
Let's take a brief look at what made the original enjoyable when we were young:
Decent car chases
Funny and dastardly characters
*INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION*
Pretty good storytelling and plots
Catherine Bach waving and shaking everything for the camera.
Now lets look at the new, big screen movie...
Decent car chases.
1 dimensional characters
No intelligent conversation whatsoever
Decent plot poorly executed
Jessica Simpson with minimal dialogue and clothing.
I' m sorry to say, even Jessica's bathing suit fails to keep your interest up. It wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't turned Bo and Luke duke into a pair of whooping, moronic, hillbillies that have a combined IQ of 10. Everytime they make an appearance onscreen, you just have to cringe. I couldn't find the humour with these two idiots. "Wooooo-ing" and hollering every second word.
They've effectively turned two brothers known for outsmarting the bad guys into Laurel and Hardy.
There were some funny moments and good chases, but they made Bo and Luke so fucking dumb, it was really hard to beleive that they could pull anything off together.
Me? I didn't like it much. If you can, fast forward to Jessica's and the chase scenes or just look away... skip the dialogue. |

i find they portrayed boss hog and rossco TOTALY wrong.
int he show boss hog was a fat bubbling idiot with 2 bit schemes.
in the movie he was a very smart con who was tall and skinny. WTF!
now rossco inthe show coulen't tell his head form his ass and was the most incomitent cop there could ever be. messing up everytime boss hog told him to do something.
in the movie he was this mean sinister law figer who wasn't a dumb shit.
i think what i missed most from this carature was the "10-4 little BUDDY" or "or my anme isn't Rossco P. Coletrain * insert chuckle*" |
