I find that music distracts me, especially when I'm increasing the weight.
Cardio + music = great though
Something, anything with a lot of energy, fast beat, lyrics you know. |

Hi BanannaBoy,
I guess it all depends on what you like to listen too.
For me, I only listen to what is playing at the gym. I am never plugged into headphones. I like to be alert of my surroundings at all times and hear what is going on.
But what I like to listen to that will stir the Adrenaline up inside me and make me surge is Ramstein. Also listening to some rap will help, but it does not get my blood flowing and strength up like Ramstein.
However when elevator music is playing it makes it very hard to stay motivated and push the extra weights. To me the elevator music sucks my will to continue and makes me drag my behind accross the gym floor.

| Metal , Pantera pumps me up  also makes me meaner to the extra tonnage added on the bar so I can prevail! Been awhile tho. |

When I'm at the gym, I don't lisen to music. But my gf just bought a elipical machine for home use.
I have a wide music range but I tend to stay away from most newer rap.
Over the last few times I've been using Great Big Sea, Emenem, Profesional Murder Music and KSK.
Ramstein, thats good one, now If I can find the cd... |

| Basically anything that gets you moving is good music. I know when my little sister goes to the gym she's got classical music with her. But she's strange anyway..... |

| I play rammstein a lot, and as a bonus, I'm learning german and am actually understanding and getting the music even more than the pump up value. |
