Parada Spec-2 Tires ? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Nightstalker
I am looking into getting a set when I get my new rims for the summer.. they seem to be a big improvment over the older paradas with the new compound. I was just wondering if anyone actually has experiance with them. ?

I have sold quite a few sets to customers who have said they were the best tire they ever had, but personaly I found them to be to loud and hard for my car that was 215/35/18 I wewnt back to a 205/40/17 for the comfort and down to a "H" rated tire as I dont do a hole lot of driving at 160MPH. Pick a tire that suits what you need and you may find that it is not what you first off wanted. The parada is a good tire but how many people out there realy need a tire that is rated that high, myself a H rated does just fine-- with a 75 shot of NOS my car will have some were near 195-205 HP this doesnt deem buying anything above a V rated tire a H will offer all the traction I will need to be a good street tire. If I wanted 1/4 times I would go by a slick and proply trade in the Focus.

I am putting 205/40/17s on.. sorry.. 18s are to heavy for the civic.. I would likely be better off with a even lighter rim but I like the look of 17s on the Egs adn Eks. My car is IMO pretty bad for road noise.. and I was planning on stripping a lot of the sound deadening material to lose some weight.. I actually run my car up pass 200 on a semi regular basis so I was thinking a z rated tire would be a good idea just because.. I will likley be getting the tires threw you steve anyway. Actually I was wondering if you would be coming out to the FNF premier show I am trying to put together.. =)

My Gf's 99 SI has the parada spec-ll's they seem to be a good tire for the street, nothing that great though. One thing I noticed is that there is no road noise with her tires while my Bridgestone Potenza RE730s were very loud.

I have 205/40/17's spec 2's and I have no complaints. They are a pretty good dry tire and they aren't that bad in the rain either. All around a good street tire IMO, but I have nothing to compare them to.

They are a little loud though.

I have actually notice that my civic is not exactly the best car when it comes to keeping the road noise out.. but thats ok because it lets me hear my car a little better.. and allows me to hear problems coming.. tire noise is not that big of a deal..
