Why do we have a minimum word length of (4) when using the 'Search" tool? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I don't understand why we have this, I always have to think of longer words that don't work as well. If anything, it should be cut down to a 3 word minumum, think of all the 3 letter words out there.

This is what it always says:
vBulletin Message
The search term you specified (xxx) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.



Also, it would be sweet if we had something similar to Beyond's Search Memory as I copy and pasted below. Just a thought.

so say you wanted to search for gtr why not gtr*

it works well usually.
