Is anyone here familiar with Volvos?
I have a 740se turbo ..or something..can never remeber the model..but yeah, thats my winter car (rwd turbo :p ) and the last time i drove it, it ran fine, cept brakes sqeeled a little, and thers a knocking when Im turning so I guess the cv joints are getting to the end.
But my questions are..whats the worst that can happen if I dont fix the cv joints, and would anyone be able to take a look at it and see what else needs fixing? I dont wanna waste a bundle going to weber motors..
Also - the gas tank sensor is broken as well, and i think its pricey to fix?
-Thanks |

i own a Volvo 240, for winter car.
the important thing to remember about volvo's is that there are still plenty of them on the road running quite well....
this is because they are built to LAAAASSST
BUT whens omething goes, it's usualy not very hard to fix, but it is very annoying.
parts are cheap to find, but they are super annoying to replace, which is why fixing it would cost $$$ at a shop
don't take it to weber motors if you want the have it checked out.
Take it to Sandy Lane Automotive... they have been the volvo people for the last 30 years in edmonton, and they've seen our families volvo since we bought it in 1982. |

Avoid Sandy Lane at all costs. They're ridiculously inept.
Go to Anglo Canadian Motors and save yourself the headache. They're the Edmonton Volvo dealer (http://www.anglocanadianmotors.com/). |
