Apexi AVC-R. - Click HERE for Original Thread

Ok, any of you out these with Boost Controllers on your TT... I need some opinions. I am thinking of going with the Apexi AVC-R next year ( found one basically brand new for cheap....).

Now remember, I have no familiarity with any sort of boost controller.... But when I chip the car next year, my choice boils down to either Boost Jets or Controller. And after some chatting with some of you at the EZCC meetings, I am thinking boost controller would be a better option.

Advice is much appreciated. Already did some reading up on twinturbo.net.

Excuse my typing.... A little tired and a little drunk. :)

I have no experience with the Z but boost controller is way better than jets nomatter what!!
And as far as boost controllers go........APEXI has a nice unit with adjustable boost settings for each gear. And the GREDDY profec B spec 2, is supposed to be a grea unit that is really easy to use.
Both can controll TT, and have 2 different boost levels.(the important features)

Myself and Bill W. have the AVC-R in our Zs. I can't recall if there are any others that have that one.

I'm fairly happy with mine. And I noticed much better boost response when switching from jets to the BC. But the AVC-R, like a couple other models, have some complicated features and I don't profess to be a master of all of them.

Has anybody tried out the Blitz SBC-iD? I am considering getting the new SBC-i Colour which combines features of the SBC-iD and the Power Meter iD into one unit.

I have heard very little on the SBC-iD, except one person claimed that it holds boost better than any other boost controller he tried (not to say that the other controllers aren't good).

Hey just bought an Apexi AVC-R used. Got all the parts except for the little mounting bracket for holding the display unit. Anybody have this part and willing to get rid of it?

I need it to mount it on my dash as I still have the stock Bose Audio and CD player...

I think I still have my mounting bracket in the box. I'd probably be willing to part with it.

The reason I didn't mount mine on top the dash is I didn't want my Z's interior to end up looking like a taxi cab.

Thanks. Let me know.

Unfortunately, I don't want to part with the stock audio system... Not much options.... Maybe I could mount it somewhere around where the clock is....
