Hi everyone, Jerry W asked me to promote the next Solo II / autocross the Edmonton Corvette Club is having.... and ANYONE can come and watch and / or participate. No security info needed prior at this location.... register event day only.

It is Sunday September 18th at the Griesbach lot located about 112 street and 144 avenue.

Tech and registration 8 am to 9:30 am
Drivers meeting approx 9:45 - 10 am area
First car out around 10 am

cost $20 and includes as many fun runs after that you want.

Street tires or race tires? What size. maybe someone in the chatrooms can help you.

If you are new. tires are not that important yet..... wait until you get more seat time.... to push your car harder. just go have fun. Pushing your car can make you run slower ( if too erratic ) ....... best to just try on what you are running on.

just street tires, right now i have bridgestone RE92s. and they are terrible....

Yes they are, but are good to learn on to start with. Alot of good drivers in the club started out on RE-92's or similar tires. They will make you be a smooth driver, and they will punish you for being over-aggressive. It really is best to at least do a few events on them before upgrading, it will make you a better driver in the long run.:thumbup:

I do think I should come out with my car, don't know if I will change tires around but I probaly will just run the POS tires I got now.
This thing is gona suck compared to my CRX but ohwell I need race! :beer:

I wish my car was ready. I have not got to do anything this year and probily wont. Comes out of paint next week then I got to put it all together adn break evrything in IE clutch gasgets ect...

Well thax to Jerry the ECC and all the peeps who showed up to race and help out.
My DX did just fine and I pretty much was able to max it out with them POS tires and nutless gas saver motor, I do have pictures being developed and I will have them up sometime durning the week so keep an eye on the Photo gallery section. :beer:
