OK, having V8 cars at a V8less event was kind of pointless.
looking at the rules, From the website
General Competition Eligibility
All competition vehicles must be registered with an appropriate provincial motor vehicles department. All competition vehicles must successfully pass technical inspection vehicles that pose safety hazards will NOT be allowed into competition. Competitors must show valid vehicle registration, license plates, and drivers license documentation during technical inspection and when requested by race organizers. All race competitors are required to wear a D.O.T. approved helmet during competition.
Exhibition Class
There are opportunities to register in the Exhibition Class if your vehicle does not qualify for the above. Vehicles in Exhibition class may use tires of radial or bias-ply construction in competition. Vehicles with striped interiors will compete in Exhibition class. Only Exhibition class vehicles are permitted to run wheelie bars. Only Exhibition class vehicles can be of tube frame construction. All Exhibition class vehicles must be pre-registered at least 7 days prior to the SCC event date. Contact
There was only one car in the exhibition class, but for next time I hope the V8less crew running the race understand not to many tubed frame cars with wheelie bars are plated and have a valid registration.
Not this time but next time this might be a problem.
Thumbs up to Mark for giving us lots of time for the test and tune. |
