Wow, soulfly , no one is sayin who guilty or innocent yet, but for a hit and run and the driver takes off, most time that means the driver fucked up. Maybe it was both peoples fault but when uare innocent most time u dont flee the scene. We were going west on granada blvd on our bikes talking. All of a sudden this punk in the civic pulls a U-turn in the middle of the intersection and comes speeding up doing a good 100-120 km/h and slammed on his brakes right in front of us. The whole time he was being a fuckin RETARD I was still talking to my buddy but seeing what he was doing. Anyways, he pulled a U-turn behind a bunch of cars and waited for traffic to clear and caught up to us at the next corner. He slowed down, revved his car up and sped up and hit me. I was knocked off my bike as he ran over it. I started walking toward his car and he put it in reverse at FLOORED it out off the parking lot and down the middle off the road just about hitting the cars stopped behind him. I was running towards his car and he slammed it into 1st gear and was sitting there spinning his tires. I reached into the window and tried to grab him, punch him, anything I could do. His tires gripped and was starting to speed away and at that point I fell out of the window and hit my head on the road which resulted in a concussion, yes I went to the doctor. As he was speeding away he caught my best friend's ankle with his bumper. Now he can barely fuckin walk.
Think what you want. It doesn't matter what happened or what didn't happen, he still purposely hit me and he still ran away and now is more serious. He acted inappropriately, now the cops are involved, they now know who he is, where he lives, they talked to him and action will be taken.
I strongly suggest you guys listen before making judgements and accusing people. This site is now full of idiots who just talk shit non stop and it's no fun anymore. Have fun, drive safe, and don't run over pedestrians. |

It definitely looks like the majority of posters were siding with your story. No need to get so defensive about the issue. We have all been in terribly stressfull situations and we sympathise with what you are going through.
The only dilemna you have now is that according to your story.
1. This guy was driving like an idiot, endagering anything and everyone around him. He further complicated the issue by getting into a hit and run............and now he will have his day in court.
2. You ran after him and now have admitted to assaulting him.

1) you dont rat on friends TRUE, however your friend did a criminal act so admittin to know it and not sayin anything, you have put yourself in shit. I was talking to my buddy, thats all I was doing. He was squeeling his tires in the middle of the road so of course I was looking, but at the same time was still talking to my friend, so unless he thought I was talking to him is beyond me. I didn't ASSAULT him, it was self defense. He hit me HARD enough to KNOCK me off my bike and I started walking towards him and he floored it and LEFT. He attempted to HIT my friend and I. Your buddy is a fuckin liar. You wanna know how he fucked his rim up? When he jumped the curb to hit me, thats how. We had no bottle, we had nothing in our pockets except for a WALLET and thats it. I have witnesses to contradict your lying friend's story... Little does your friend know, I was hurt, and so was my best friend. So you go ahead and believe him. If he was so man enough to hit me because he thought I was yelling at him, then I suppose he's just a 110% truthful guy...? He stopped long enough for me to drop my bike and WALK at that time to his window. When he took off, and was in his "If your in my way, I'm not stopping for you" "mode" thats when I climbed in his window. To go with what silence posted Ummm, the thing is buddy there with the MR2 was smart unlike the guy here . HE wanted too, granted ive wanted to kill a couple people in my life time and had good reason too, so does that mean if i have good reason to i can go ahead and do it with no after effects? i really dont think so.
From the stories ive heard Cody did not throw anything at guys car or do any damage directly on purpose, i tend to believe this cause Car lovers dont wreck other cars even if they hate whos driven them and so forth. Im postin mainly because im sick of seeing immature things happen like this that wreck the car enthusiast car clubs and all around people who enjoy cars. Anyways i hope that this gets sorted out and next time cooler heads prevail. |

I didn't assualt the driver. I got off my bike and started WALKING to his car, I didn't immediatly go nuts on him. I was walking to his car to find out his fuckin problem, but he put it in reverse and booked it onto Granada blvd. so I ran after him and tried to stop him. Was I suppose to stand on the sidewalk and say "well he did intentionally run me over, so I'll just wave goodbye". I know that half if not MORE would have done the SAME thing. His ignition was out of reach and so was his shifter, so what was the next thing that might stop the guy from running, the driver himself. I'm coming off as a violent person here, but you know what? I've never hit anybody in my life. The only time I throw punches in self-defense and I felt I need to defend myself. He never even tried to stop after he acually HIT my friend. His ankle is so fucked it's not even funny.
As said above, I would never throw anything at another person's pride and joy. I know it took alot of work to get that civic done and I'm building a car myself. I never have thrown anything at a car and never will. Most of you are just jumping on the bandwagon and saying I assualted him, but for those of you who know me personally, I'm not a violent hot head looking for a reason to fight someone, so whatever.
I won't even lower myself to respond to that silence guy's posts. All I can say is, I bike ride to stay in shape, save gas cause it seems like it loves to be opening wallets lately with the prices, and for something to do. That's all you need to know. |

No no. He knocked me off my bike and my bike was pretty much under his car so I let go of the bike and started to WALK towards his window. I didn't say anything or I did nothing to indicate I was mad, I was walking. That's when he put his car in reverse and pinned it out the of the parking lot, tire smoke and the whole works. Thats when I ran after him down the middle of the road after him. As he was running out of room (cars behind him) he put it in first and floored it towards me. So I climbed in his window and tried to stop him but I fell out of the window and I was hitting the ground, my best friend who was running right behind me, was in his path and he was going straight for him so my friend moved but he caught his ankle with his bumper. Like I said, I didn't immediatly start jumping in the window, I was walking towards his side of the car and he took off. |

Keep in mind engine size, if it's a 1.6L thats pretty good, my wife's 2.0L has 135ft lbs ot torque... No idea what my 5.2L has.
To quote Ford's website:
Torque (lb.-ft. @ rpm) 240 @ 3500 320 @ 4500
The 240 being the 4.0L V6
and the 320 being the 4.6L V8
Sooo comparitively 200lb.ft in a 1.6 or shoot even a 2.0L is good. |

Who needs a plate number? I'm sure the cars sticks out like a sore thumb, and you would be able to find it quite easily.
The cops won't do much, unless you can identify him, i.e. know his name, and what he looks like...Then they can charge him, but in this case, I think you would want to take matters in to your own hands?:dunno: |

You need the plate so the cops can ID the car/person. Without the plate, what's the cop going to do?
Randomly search every black civic? At least with the plate they could punch it in, match the car with the statement and have SOMETHING.
Now they'll say, 'we'll look into it.' and file it (in the garbage can). |

Its a sad story but its even sadder that u dont have his license plate number... because like its mentioned before, Cops usually dont give 2 shits unless u got very specific evidence, they will file it right into the garbage can...
It's nice and honest of you to go legit about this and trust the local law enforcements but if I were you (just because in this case that u dont have any specific evidence), i wouldnt of type a single thing or tell anyone anything and patiently wait for sweet sweet revenge. If its a car that sticks out like a sore thumb, you definetly are going to see it in edmonton sooner or later... See it, stalk it, wait for he parks, get couple of your good buddies, some snow masks and baseball bats, when he comes out, quick zerg rush, car and him done in no more than 3 minutes with baseball bats, than jump back on the car and drive away... and yell i am rick james bitch while doing the whole thing |

My car has 200lbs torque Stock smoke off the tires is a normal occurance when I gunnit. My car wieghs about 2800lbs as it is now. Now put that kind of torque behind a 2200lb car.
Yup simplicity and tire rosting hell I got a vid of a stock civic with only a flywheel mod on it doing a good 40 second smoke show thats gotta say they CAN!
