Black or white Car, good or bad? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Qoo
I know the choice of color depends on which car.
so let say an 03+ accord coupe.
White, Black, dark Grey was my 3 choice.

I heard that white and black is a pain to keep it clean. but when I see those white TSX. even when it is dirty, it looks great.

and black,a good choice on any car.

so any advice on what's bad to get a black or white car ?

Thank you for any input. (even saying White accord coupe look like a piece of crap).
Website that let you play with Color on Accord Coupe

I think that white on a car looks really good if you're willing to keep it clean. Once that layer of dirt gets on it, it just isn't as appealing anymore. Besides, a white car is harder to notice small scratches so that's a plus.

A black car looks amazing the day it steps out of the showroom. After that, be ready to handle all the scrathces that come with it. You wash a black car...it scratches.
You touch a black car...it scratches.
You LOOK at a black car...it scratches.
Even if it does have a lot of scratches, it will still look amazing at night.

Yep black is notorious for showing any scratches and paint swirls, anything like that. It shows dirt very well too.

My car is white and I love it. It's my first white car, and I wash it every 2 days unless it's rainy. It shines up really nice and doesn't show scratches very easily.

Silver is the best of both worlds, it hides defects, scratches and dirtiness well. That's why so many cars out there are silver, people are lazy and don't like washing cars :p

7 gen accord fan riiighhttt here.... dad has a gold 03 accord v6 with the factory aero kit.. LOVE IT! he is the only one in edmonton that has a gold with an aero kit. the gold was discontinued a year later I believe.

fyi the 03 accords dont come in white in canada

the 06 accords should be here around october ... are you looking for the coupe or sedan? IMO the new sedan is a HUGE difference from the current sedan... its like a spankin new gen.! the new accord coupe however... IMO looks uglier than it does currently.

have you test drove one yet?

Don't get a black car unless your willing to wash it twice a week.

My GF has a white car and really easy to cleam looking decent. But imposible to keep in show condition.

My 2 cents.

black shows dirt very easily, but when it's clean it looks soo nice! at night the dirt doesn't show.

i'll probably choose white next time.

White on most cars though (unless it is a really nice pearl) make it look like a rental car IMO. I don't like white appliances in my kitchen and the same goes for cars. (although there are some nice whites out there, most look bad IMO)

Black is the nicest color when it is clean
White will keep the car coolest on hot days
Dark grey is the most understated color (maybe besides brown, but who the hell wants a brown car)

Personally, I'd have a black weekend car, white daily driver & the gf/wife wants a dark grey
so it all works out in the end :D

black is nice but when its dirty....my god...

I have a white(ish) jetta and when its dirty you cant tell at all until maybe 10-15 feet away you can start to see it...

Black cars are a never ending battle to keep clean. I know first hand cuz i've had 3 of them. Even when you get out of the carwash... you can see all the spots from after the car drys... unless you wipe with a towel. Any dust on the car.... you can see. Trust me... its a never ending battle.

white accords aren't possible to buy in canada. white accords are from usa. but yeah black is nice on the accords, but shows scratches, swirlmarks, and any other imperfections really easy. everytime you wash your car u gunna have to wash it twice to get all the dirt off. i'd go with the dark grey.
