| :o just trying to get an idea af who is out there that will be racing an rx7 and where it will be racing? 4kruzn Motorsports will have a turbo2 road race car running in calgary and maybe one race in edmonton and one in winnipeg. also we will be atempting to extract huge hp from a 13b turbo block that is supercharged and has NOS it will be it a stock bodied 1985 rx7. you will see it around at a few drags and maybe a solo or two. and I also have a (in pieces) a bridge ported 12a powered 1970 renault r8 gordini, that I hve iceraced a couple of times, hope to get it back together soon. what are your cars and where will they be this summer???? :bigthumbup: |

| Hey Conroy, you have a 13BT with a supercharger and NOS? ahahaha sweet. If you want me to come out and pull some wrenches some time i'd be willing to help out or maybe even at a few races. My car is due for a paint job this spring and possbile some rims but we'll see. hehe. |

:wacko: Hopefully I'll have a station wagon back together for this summer and run it at a few of the street legals and possibly at a couple of solos as well. If things work out $-wise, which they seldom do, I'll hopefully do some vintage lapping in Calgary as well. :bigthumbup: That's the plan anyway! :D

| if it became possible to do so how many people out there would be willing to pay 200 to 250 for a road cource track day. It would be set up within a 1-2hour drive from edmonton and would be a solo type event. probably have the track for about 6hours?? we would be looking for around 30 cars? in a typical solo, 6hours and 30 cars would give you 12 runs. we may be able to set it up as parade lapping witch would possible give you even more time on the race track??? :unsure: |

| as far as I have know...??? all the socalled lapping events ever held at race city are private events. not open to the general public. they run solo one events there all year long. if interested in those contact the calgary sportscar club. we are looking into setting up one of these type of events for early spring and maybe one later in the season if enough intrest so far only three of you? to run an event like this is a four thousand dollar day so we would need huge interest to move foreward on this one... It is also looking like there will be enough interest in haveing a rx7 rent a rex for racing at race city... this car would mostlikely be a it2 class car but it may be a challange cup car. in order to rent it you would need to run the school and get a race licence form wcma. then the car will cost about 500.00 per weekend to rent and you would need a vehicle to tow it to the track. ie a big car or a pick up of some sort. entry fees are about 150.00 at the track. for this amout of money you will get to race for nearly 4hours on the track. do the math fastraks 10min=25.00 4hours =240min 240min=600.00 so you would only be paying slightly more to be racing with thirty or so other cars... give me some feed back on this. what do you think? also the only way to get your licence for this year will be to take the school at race city in april. |

I'm totally game for a "lapping" event or something on a circut course... I really want ot experience that, even if there is a speed limit and no passing rule... :S
It depends on cost and time aloted for me to save for it... I couldn't just say yes and hop on board for the next weekend! |
