how to dvd burning and converting software? - Click HERE for Original Thread

-]TooL[-
As the title states if anyone has some/any info on converting files to dvd format, for burning. Main ideal is to burn dvd's at will (i understand i also need copyright override software for this), but they need to be in dvd format. dvd players dont like wmp/avi/mpeg/etc... at least the ones im wanting to play these discs on! So if anyone has experience with this, some/any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried a few programs ive found on google and limewire; no luck so far. I did find one program that will convert any file to avi, then convert it to dvd format but the free version leaves this ugly "unregistered blahblahblah" across the middle of the screen. Winmpg video convert was that ones name. Thanks in advance.

there are many different ways to do this i went with the fastest and eziest

You need
Nero

Dvd Shrink
3rd line down (tells you how to use it to)

With this program you don't have to deal with converting, copyrighting, or anything. Best tho you can fit any dvd on one disk.

basically does everything for you all you have to do is change disks for the most part and ez to use

I found dvd santa a great program to use. Haven't had any problems.

Ive got nero6. Im going to try the dvd shrink today. the other problem im facing is converting files. as with everyone here im sure, i have tons of clips and videos on my harddrive, im interested in slapping those on dvd but they need to be in dvd format for most players to be able to play it. The dvd shrink should at least solve my copying issues. Thanks for the input guys, keep it coming!

k so ive tried dvdsanta a few times now and keep getting error reports, and windows has to close the program. ill try re-installing it and see if that clears it up, but so far this is the issue ive had when attempting to use files rather than straight copying a dvd. but at least dvd shrink works great!

I can probably send you my version of it, i've had no problems with it. Let me know if you want me to send it to you.

do you have the full version? i dont buy software typically so i only have the demo for now. like i said earlier, ive tried prolly 4 or 5 programs already, one more wont hurt! i got it to work for about a 30min compilation. other than that one disc, at some point windows error comes up with the "send or dont send" window. freakin annoying! thanks again for all your help guys, im actually gettin somewhere now.
