basically an SE gets you leather seats and some nice carbon fiber trim. oh you gotta love gettin trim. especially on those nice leather seats.
if you want the a Super Handling Prelude then go for the SH (1997-2000) although it does make tranny work a little more tedious. |

I'd rather stick with the SE and get a Quaife LSD installed. Ask people that have SH's if they would rather go that route, especially those that work on their own cars... |

| Clutch job takes 11.5 hours on an sh for it to be done right...$$$ expensive |
|

| Clutch jobs take longer on an SH? that doesn't make sense... |
|
|
| preluderca |
| yeah its something to do with the atts shit |
|
|
| mike3 |
| I thought that would just in the tranny...shouldn't make it harder for a clutch job...im just not understanding what makes it harder |

yeah an SE or base model with an lsd is probably the best way to go. you'll get a mechanical system vs the electrical based ATTS. if you dont want to get an lsd installed you could get a euror tranny swaped in.
the SH definetly takes more labour when it comes to tranny stuff b/c of the atts unit. thats the price you pay for that slick turning radius :P |

| it has nothing to do with where the atts is, its about how it has to be dismantled so that the atts will work when its all re assembled after the clutch job....or at least thats what i was told |

| ya i'll vouch for the 2001 SE's  |

| this is turning out to be an SH/non Sh debate. which ever prelude model u decide , what ever generation, i think you'll be pleased with the result. |

SH is actually in my oppinion the way to go. I love the accts, in a luxury sports car, which is imo what the prelude is, it works great in its role on the street. Unbeleivable in the rain and snow. Also fun on the track. Makes driving a fwd car a lot more fun, and takes out the harshness of a mechanical lsd if you get wheel spin through a corner. Ask any se-r driver about wheel hop in the rain....
But if I was to build a full race car, I'd go all the way to the base, since they are the cheapest, rip it apart and start with a quaiffe lsd. |

| when it comes down to it stock the sh is good......... but if your gonna be building it for power, it kind of a waste of money, and the atts is only good till 300hp i think....if even that much . but like it was stated before, which ever prelude you go with ........you will be satisfied......but i would recomend the 2001 se |
