| If you run a dedicated winter tire you'll have no problems. Even lowered. You know, unless you like to drive into snow banks or something......:dunno: :D |

i'm a wicked winter driver...i live in a town that gets way too much freakin snow and doesn't plow very often haha
but then again, i'll be moving to a city with alot more traffic
i think i'll just park it and save on insurance |

| Depends if you care for the body... I don't park mine in winter because i don't want the salt wrecking my car. Its not that its a bad car to drive in winter, cause its not, id just rather not put the km's on, and save the body, theres a better chance of crashing it over winter too...so yes, i park mine half the year |

Winters in Calgary aren't bad at all.
I went through an entire winter on summer tires, lowered 2" and a bodykit with no incidents at all. You just have to be smart about it. |

I store mine from November to April.
I prefer not to drive it in the winter since I deem it as a summer car, plus the fact that there is a way better chance of something happening over the winter... |

you can do anything to them and probably not care about it, my 86 accord could be considered a winter beater, someone can rear end me and i probably wont even care about it too much(as long as its not a write off)
if i could, id get a different beater every winter |

| Thats what i do....Im on my third winter beater, and i've been driving for 3 winters. |

| mine doesn't see the salt |
| buh_buh |
| actually nobody out here uses salt on the roads, its mostly an east thing |
| whitebb6 |
| i dont think i could handle parking the lude for an entire winter. driving season would be cut down to less than half the year |

| last winter, in the shitty town i live in now...i parked it from mid/late october to april....it was so nice to bring it out in april and rip around in it! |
| whitebb6 |
| you'll be alright driving it in calgary. no need in parking it for that long. just make sure you wash your car once in a while and get all the shit off. |

| all i know is a bought my 86 off the orignal owner and it had never seen the winter with 190kms on it and i drove it through one winter and it fuckin ate the body for lunch...obviously the older cars that were shipped over the ocean from japen here are more likly to rust but sure enough i hadda do the body not long after that... |

| its the best feeling pulling the car out in spring.....its like dirving a brand new car again. |

We all use salt on our roads. Edmonton & Calgary use a lower salt content and higher sand content then the east. That is the white scale on the side of your car when you don't wash it often. |

| ya man park it if you have the resources man, no needs to put the kms and the rock chips in the front if you dont have to. buy an old 4 runner or pathfinder if you can man. winter beaters are fun. its kinda nice to drive a car that you dont care about when the weather sucks |
| mike3 |
| not everyone has like 4-5000 to put down on a winter beater 4runner... Just get anything thats cheap. |
| buh_buh |
ya you can get a pretty good beater for good prices.
Mine cost me $1500 and I got AWD, heated seats, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, and a lockable diff. |

no man you just gotta find a deal. i bought an 86 4runner last year for $1000 and it took me to BC 3 times. this year i bought a 89 pathfinder for $1300 and it runs better than the runner. just dont buy one from a used car lot |
| mike3 |
| don't worry, i can find my own deals...4runner must have been a rust bucket with high km's. I just got me an '89 white crx, with no rust, and 189000km for $1000 |
