are the syncros a problem with that year? |

| well not too bad for the 5th gens...they changed them a bit, but for most 4th gens the synchros are starting to go just over 100,000...its a tranny has 100,000km you my as well re build it...thats just my opinion though |

ya, my 5th gear grinds most of the time unless its warmed up.
3rd very seldom does, but it does maybe every 10th time. |

| i told the shop to put synchromesh in buti don't think they did. i was planning to change the tranny fluid next week anyway. |
| mike3 |
why would you change the tranny fluid if you just got it put in???
you don't have to change it like engine oil....anyways someone buy this tranny |
| newaccorddriver |
| the tranny probably doesnt need a rebuild, probably a 'why not rebuild it while its out' sort of thing |
| mike3 |
| Exactly, im sure if its been driven nice, or your lucky, the synchros won't go for another 50,000km or more even... |

hell if you're going to rebuild a tranny may as well throw in an lsd, maybe a final drive... do it up all the way!
just make an offer. lets start talking. somebody's bound to need a tranny after all the "spirited driving" that takes place on edmontons streets. |
