Imagestation Photo Album
She could use a good wash if you look at the photos. She's had some rust repair done over the winter so now there's very little if any rust left... Which isn't a big deal because the engine is sweeeeeeet!
Here are the specs to this crazy fast Turbo RX-7:
Specs (to my knowledge)
1987 Mazda Rx-7 Turbo II
-Blueish Grey
-Blue Interior
-5 Spd w/ awesome clutch (stock)
-Factory 16' wheels & 16' Fittipaldi wheels
-Racing Beat Exhaust (full exhaust, downpipe, piping, mufflers, and tip)
-Chipped
-K&N FilterCharger
- 208***km
-Lowered Suspension
-Power Windows, Locks, Sunroof
-Alarm
-Keyless Entry
-Yearly Tuneup done (last spring)
-Oil always changed (non-synthetic, that's a good thing)
-Fuel pump cutoff switch
-13B Turbo Rotary
-power steering
-4 wheel disc brakes (abs?)
Anything else that I think of I will post later. This is a friend's car and he's been contemplating picking up something more practical for his needs. He's owned the car for 2 or 3 years and it has been religiously maintained in that time, literally driven about 1000km since he's owned it. He is supposidly the second owner of this car and it was previously owned by a lawyer who had a thing for sports cars and said he took very good care of it.
If you're interrested in this car, post a message here and I'll pm you when I have some time. The owner has decided on a selling price $5500.00obo offers, don't waste our time with $1000.00 offers, as he will not sell for nothing. |

That car is nice. I'd love to get my hands on an RX-7 if I weren't broke ass paying off my present Rex.

| Does that car have a rebuilt engine? 208000km is alot for a turbo rotory, I would say that it would be time for a rebuild soon if that's the original engine, within the next year or two........... |
|
|
| redbaron303 |
It is on it's orginal, non rebuilt motor. IT was originally owned by a lawyer that took good care of it, and my friend hasn't driven the car more than 2000km since he bought it just over 2 years ago. When he bought the car he had a full inspection done at Weber Motors which included a compression test and the car was dubbed A-OK, nothing wrong with it then and perfect compression... generally that tells me there's still lots of life left in this car.... The car can be made available for an inspection if a buyer is interested..
(Sorry, but ifyou aren't interested in BUYING this car, please do not reply to this thread, I just don't have time to answer questions from people that aren't interested in anything but wasting my time, and sorry if that seems rude but I've had bad experiences with people completely wasting my time when I sold other stuff.) ;) |

| I would totally buy this car from Eric... I love it... ONly thing that's holding me back is the ultra crappy gas mileage, worse than my Turbo Z and the steep price tag.... I think I only have $3Kish right now to play with... who knows, maybe I will end up with it if I could rack together some more cash... PLus Eric isn't in a hurry to sell it, so....?! |
|
|
| WookeysRX7 |
| c'mon.... you know you have to buy another 7! gas mileage?! meh who cares! Your drivin a nice RX7 man!!! when you roll around in one of these sleek ass cars you dont care about gas mileage cause all the honies you pick up in it will pay for it!! B) |

|
|
| WookeysRX7 |
| :wtf: isn't way up there! what are you talkin about? my insurance only went up $20 when i went form my truck to my 7! And since then it has gone up about $1500 cuz of tickets and stuff! haha if thats what you ment Rommel! haha damn tickets...... i'd say still get it!! |
|
|
| s2oooR |

wookey, it went up 1500? what the hell are u paying for insurance NOW?! lol |
|
|
| WookeysRX7 |
| well rommel, let me tell you, i dont like my insurance payments anymore! I thought i wasn't doin too bad for having an RX7 and only payin 2900 a year and still only being 18 right, well seein as how my insurance was just renewed and they saw the tickets!!!! NOW ITS FREAKIN $4600 a year!! i didn't even pay that much for my damn car!!! but it will go down alot next year if i dont get any speedin tickets that is. hahaha. And all the tickets that i got, I wasn't even driving my own damn car! Thats 2 speeding tickets and a no stop(stupid Sherwood Park cops) i totally stoped but whatever. haha. so $387 a month until i am 20 so i got 1 yera to go!!!! |
|
|
| redbaron303 |
| Ouch... sad to you Chad! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Okay, I'm still paying $250.00/month without collision but everything else.... |

um......sure Chad :o
anyways Chris, yeah the gas mileage isn't as great as a honda civic (or your I6 Z) but a civic or a Z isn't gonna turn like an RX-7 will
& i would think that the amount of money you'd have to invest into a $3000 Z will prbly amount to the same horsepower/speed as Eric's T2 & it STILL wont handle as well
but i dont know anything about Z31's so......... |
|
|
| s2oooR |
| 4600? damn, thats ALOT of money! imagine if u woulda just got blades? SO much cheaper and you'd still have money left over to take out the hunnies u pick up on the trails :P hahahaha..... |
|
|
| redbaron303 |
Terry you make a very convincing point.... Im just too worried about having another rotary incase the engine does go in one because they're so much harder for the general population to fix, for some reason!
The Z handles good, but you're right Eric's TII handles better... however the Z is faster. (I raced Eric and kicked him pretty good).... I don't know.... I have a suspension package I'd like to try and taht should improve the handling lots (not to say that it isn't good, just not as good as 7).
I'm not going to rush into anything this time around.... who knows, it's either another Z or maybe this Rx7.... I have a lot to think about and a month or two to do it in.... |
|
|
| WookeysRX7 |
| Don't worry Chris, go ahead and buy the RX7 cause if your engine craps out you can use my engine, I am gettin a V8 in mine, remember? ehehehe so much more power and easier to fix than those damn rotories! but dammit i wont be able to winde up as much! damn now i dont know if i want a V8 in the RX7!!!  |

*<BUMP>*
Anyone interested in this car... engine is in excellent running order... 5 spd and is mechanically perfect or damn near close to it! Interior is perfect and the exterior is awesome too.... Like I keep hearing "summers just around the corner" and this cool TURBO sports car will get you places fast :D for a mear $5500.00obo |

*Bump*
Car's ready for summer, it's been polished and had some rust repaired around the wheel wells. There is no underbody rust, and this car is immaculate overall.
If the right offer of $6000-$5500 is given it could be sold, and that's a gr8t deal for this car. Just as a side, there aren't any documents of a rebuild but the car ran perfect for the inspection at weber motors where it has only been serviced! |

| Question would he be interested in selling that Orion sub he's got in there? |
|
|
| redbaron303 |
| I doubt that... I think the "stereo" is going into the next car and that aspect of the vehicle will be returned to stock. However I'll pose the question. What's your offer? |
|
|
| HKSpowers |
| What's the size of the sub? it looks like the XTR series sub, is it single or DVC?. |
|
|
| redbaron303 |
I dunno.... 10inch orion cobalt.
Don't know much more ;) |
