cleaning door jambs - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hustler M
Hey guys I was wondering what everybody uses to clean their door jambs. I normally use glass cleaner and a soft cloth. I'm guessing glass cleaner is hard on the paint though.

You can use mean green degreaser and pressure wash it off. Then use a chamoise to remove the water.

Or if you want to do it like you been just use a damp rag. Glass cleaner can remove wax but it should not hurt anything unless the paint is really cheap.

You could use a cheater wax or body shine aswell they are mild on paint. You could even wax it makes it look spectacular after.

I just degrease and spray personally then chamoise the water off works like a charm but if you leave the degreaser on too long it may eat your paint.

I must have some terms mixed up but aren't Door Jams the area of the "doorway" that is hidden by the door?

I.E. Where the vehicle information sticker is found.

If that's the case, I just use car soap :dunno:

Bingo.

Otherwise just use a quick detailer and a non-scratching cloth, assuming door jambs are kept up regularly.

They shouldn't be THAT dirty to require anything unusual or agressive to clean.

I just pressure wash them every once and awhile. They shouldn't need any cleaners IMO.

How can i argue with that? Please accept my appology :(

Me I just degrease them, pressure wash them, wipe them, then air hose them. Works like a charm for me.
