I'm working on a 95 Intrepid at the moment. It had a power antenna(factory) which was grinding so I removed it and replaced it with a universal one. The old power antenna had a female connector on it and connected to a wire already run to the trunk with a male end, the new antenna has a male connector on it. Now I have two male connectors that look exactly like the connector that goes into a head unit and no way to combine the two. Anyone know where I can find such a connector? I have removed the old female connector off of the power antenna and recrimping is a possibility, but I'm not sure what type of wire this is(white tubing on the inside with frayed copper around it like coax).
These are what the connectors look like to clear up confusion:
A female to female connector would be ideal, but I cant find one yet.

| I ended up just recrimping with the old female end, works fine. Not worth anymore time trying to track down something that may not even exist :dunno: |

| You could try future shop. When I was installing my deck into my car the male connector fell off the wire that goes into the deck. I didn't think that cripping it would work. So I asked a FS and they had patch cord type things with those connectors crimped on. I'm not 100% sure but I thought they had different combinations of them. It's worth a try. I ended up buying one with the male connector and splicing the two different wires together not the pretties but it works. |

| Mine worked out as long as you have this 1 thin hairstrand thick copper wire that runs through a white tub making contact to ground the antenna. Took a few tries, but it works mint now recrimped with the old end. Kind of hard to understand what I'm talking about until you cut one of those wires apart. |

Female to female connectors? Nice. I phoned and went to numerous places around and no one had it, I didnt have a chance to drive to Certified but I called them and the install guys were busy and my lunch was over so when I got home I just got brave and used my old female end :) |
