Like the topic says, what's a good price for an 87 Turbo II? 208***km (not sure if there was a rebuild); it was inspected by Weber and they said they couldn't believe how well the car ran... It has lowering springs, a performance chip, k/n airfilter, 2 sets of rims (includ. factory), racingbeat exhaust, but it needs new tires...?
I don't know what else to mention, but they want between $5k - $6k, I'm pretty sure... although I could be wrong, I'll have to ask them again.... I was just curious as to the market price of these cars, since I really only have experience with a first gen.

depends on condition, check close for rust, if its really nice
it should be worth that kind of money. but remember with those
kind of miles if it has not had the motor rebuilt it will need it.

Ps. I have a 1988 TII convertible if you want to spend twice
that much, it has a fresh motor in it:) |

i would say $5000, no more
then try to bump him down into the $4000 range cuz you'll "need new tires"
but you ARE buying from a friend....and the car's supposedly been well taken care of, plus Weber gave it a pat on the ass.....
Just looking @ rx7club.com, his car shwould go for around $4000-5000 CDN
i would think $5000 is a fair price, specially w/ the 2 sets of rims & sound running condition

Now, thanks for the offer but i'm not actually buying one..... and we'll check this one over for rust again, just to make sure....
Terry - thanks for checking that out for me... It's Eric's car and he's not too sure what he should ask for it and I frankly don't know either as I've only dealt w/ first gens. I'll talk to him and mention what you both said and go from there.
Thanks agian. |

| $5000-$6000 for a Turbo II with 208*** kms!!! Hell no...if you want a Turbo II with less kms I saw one at a Mazda dealership for about $3500 in like mint condition...do some research first. |

| That's the last place that I would buy anything with a rotary in it! You do some research and you'll find that the dealers know nothing about anything that's rotary, even though they're supposed to. Although I'll give some credit to Weber, they're the best Mazda dealer in the city for rotary. Otherwise there isn't a hope in hell that I"ll deal with them again... have ahd one too many BAD experiences! |
