k so i just bought a 90 240sx and my rear brakes are completely done. The thing is i dont really know what else would fit for brakes or what not. I wanna get something good so anybody got any ideas???

coudl try 90 up 300zx breaks, you get better breaks and a better bolt pattern run nicer/ better rims

Use anything, rear brakes do just about nothing. Inspect the rear calipers, they are prone to sticking/or siezing.

Good pads and fluid will go a long way to improving your brakes. If you need to replace parts, just go with stock rotors and calipers. If you do get better pads, I'd suggest doing the same to the front so you don't upset the balance.

If it's about bling... then it's a whole new ball game and a whole lot more money.

What exactly is "done" in your rear brakes? If it's just worn out pads, then I would start researching what kind of pads you want to buy. If the calipers are broken, then you are looking at spending more money replacing them.

well my dads a mechanic...but hes kinda low key so..i was thinking of gettin brembos pads and rotors cuz im getting a realyl good deal i think....the pads need to be replaced and the rotors they said they can machine them or i can change them its my choice..how does that sound??ill get free labour, and the pads and rotors im getting for 280US (all four) let me know

For street pads, I'd look into metal master pads. I've had no problems with them until recently when I was overheating the fronts. But they'll be more than enough for the rear in almost any circumstance.

Depending on your budget you can machine your rotors, but if I were you I would just replace them.
