ok, here what will work, penetrating oil, put the puller on with some tension and then have somebody pull on the wheel while you hit the steering column shaft with a hammer. but leave the nut on teh shaft just a bit, so when the wheel comes loose, your buddy doesnt smash you window or nothing. be ready to continously put tension on then hit, then repeat.
it'll work evenually.

Hit from what side? Inside the engine compartment? Seems like 10x more work. Just cut that dam thing off and be done with it, easy and painless. |

duh, hit the stud on the middle of the puller, it "jars" the column and helps breaks the splines free.
tell me how it goes.
I dont cut momo things off, they tend to be rather expensive. |

| i didn't know you need an airbag to pass an out-of-province.. what about older cars w/no airbag? |

| if the car came from the factory with an airbag.. it is technically illegal to take any airbags out. so older cars without airbags.. nothin to worry about |
