Like why the fuck does your dog or cat need a cell phone straped to their neck WTF:dunno: people must be really stupid to buy into this shit.

You'd really have to worry if your dog actually answered it.

But hey, as crazy as it seems, if it actually saves pets lives or helps families recover their lost pets I'm all for that.

but isn't that what the couple hundred dollar microchip under the skin is for

Yes. And that's what my dog has. But the microchip only helps if your dog ends up safely in the hands of someone that intends to turn him in to the proper authorities so he can be scanned, etc.

I guess the cell phone thing won't help much either in terms of a pet-napping. But it might help you can recover the animal before it gets in trouble with traffic or wild animals... potenitally quicker than waiting for someone to stumble upon it.

All the more reason to be a responsible owner.
If you haven't thought of the ways your dog can get lost or escape or stolen and it DOES disappear on you...then you really shouldn't be owning a dog.

Maybe a cat and a fixed one at that.

k this is usefull only if ur dog gets stuck in a crushed building or sumtin like that, but if it runs away, just means it doesnt wanna stay wit u, means ur prolly not a good trainer o r owner, if a dog ran away from me, i wouldnt get another one, but id make sure i train it and it doesnt run awaytill its few months old, enough to be trained like that, after that if it runs, it can go fuck him self ,but never had that happen tho

Try telling that to kids if the dog is part of a family.

Anyway, the few times my dog got loose on me, it was not to flee... he had one thing on his mind "woohoo, WALK TIME!!"....

or
"Hey, I haven't met that neighbour over there before, or checked out their yard yet... cool!".

He's always been easy to catch. He either sticks to his walk routes or stays close to the neighbours. And the 2-3 times he slipped past an open gate, I've usually not been too far away to respond immediately.

She's a border collie. It was right after my parents got her from the SPCA. She was siezed from the previous "owner" for abuse. They had her on a 2ft chain and beat her almost daily(so we where told) I think it was one of the first time we let her out to go bathroom.

My parent's also have a border collie that they think it part wolf. SUre acts it sometimes.

I use to have a Austrailian Collie, looks like a short hair border with German shepard colors. he was in a pen on a farm, 10ft high chain link fence, and his dog house was prolly 4-5ft off the ground to tip of the roof(it was also raised off the ground) There was a tree in his pen as well... never saw him do it, but he managed to get out more than once. he would stay on the farm though so it wasn't bad. No signs he went under the fence either.

My last couple years in school I had a cell, but it was because of well My mom's, Sister's, grandparent's on my dad's side health. Me and my dad where the only family members with vehicles. But I turned the ringer off(this was before vibrate mode) and keep it on the desk and watch for it to light up. I had an agreement with my teachers, should it ring I could quietly leave class and answer it.

So they're not all bad, but ya, have some respect for others. I read recently some country or city.. or something banned cells from resturants.

Ugh. There's this stupid 40 year old in my class who always leaves her cell phone on, and on vibrate. Only problem is vibrate is fucking loud as hell. She doesn't have voice mail, I guess, because it always rings like 10 times, then stops. Then they call again. And she always ignores it, but it sits in her bag and the whole god damn bag vibrates. The worst for me is the bus. I fucking HATE it when someone is just yakking so loud on their phone on the bus with 40-odd other irritated people who just want to go home.

SilverNeonRacer
I have my phone on at work, my supervisor wants me to turn it off or leave it in the car, but with my families health I need it. Shoot yesterday my sister went in for major back surgery.

My old phone when ppl call i could hit ignore and it would punt them to voice mail. My new phone is a flip and I'd have to keep it open to press ignore, it does have a silence ringer, so for the caller it continues to ring til voice mail pics up, but the vibrating and ringing stops on my phone.

People need to learn how to use features of their phone.

Z32NUT
What irks the hell out of me is the people that are on their cell phone 2 blocks away from the house. If the call was that friggin' important, why didn't you do it at the safety of your home rather than putting everyone around you at risk?
