i just want to know does anyone got a ticket for using 3 or 4-point harness be4 ?

SilverNeonRacer
It's been discussed here before.. prolly just a few posts down.. I dunno if anybody has, but you can.

A 3-point harness is what....you stock seat belt? You will net a ticket if you're caught not using it.

A 4-, 5-, or 6-point harness will net you a ticket, if you're caught using it.

Do a search...or go here.

LOl I didn't think of a stock seat belt as a 3 point. I was thinking 2 over the shoulders and between the legs - amusement ride style.

Get the one with 2 between the legs, 1 between the legs would be pretty bad if you hit another car...say goodbye to the boys.

My friend has been driving around with a 4 point (2 shoulder, one belt style) for over a year now and hasnt had any problems.

It is illegal though not to use your factory seatbelt.

quit trying to be cool. There is no need to wear one on teh street.

Maybe when your roof crumples on your head and you cant move like a stock seatbelt you will have an enlightening moment and realize that you arent cool.

this one is not the stock seat belt and it is 3 point http://www.sparcousa.com/pharness_tuning.asp?id=251

and i want to know did anyone got ticket and how much is the ticket ??

and i also want to know is: i still using the stock seat belt on the street but i also install the 3 point harness in the car so is it illegal (not using it on street) ?

A 3-point only in name...and really dangerous and illegal in racing communities (Y belts are not legal).

WTF is the point of wearing anything else than your factory seatbelt on the street!?!?

Completely pointless...

so why use a shitty 3 point when it has already been stated that it is inadequate and illegal in most auto x racing communities. ?

No, it is not illegal to install it in your car but it is illegal and dangerous to use it on the street.

THX REFLUX !!!

95EagleAWD
But why go with a shitty 3-point???

Your factory seatbelt will do a hell of a lot more than an aftermarket harness for AutoX or draggin'...

If you're gonna do it, go with a 4 or 5 point harness.
